I personally would take a headshot (picture or art) over an airbrushed photo but that's just me.. Airbrushed makes it look "cheap".. One of these 3 Vezina will look good in the PC..
P-C
P.S Don't listen to KingKuba, he's kinda like the village idiot but not as smart..

Couldn't agree more with this. I bought a few cases of Ultimate because of the memorabilia and changes in design, but the airbrushing does kill it. Headshots (although new ones would be great if attainable) are much better than airbrushing. If not for the airbrushing I'd be all over this product!

It is a tough choice really. I understand the head shot preference. I really, do. It does limit the designs we can do and tends to make all products look the same. Trying to find happy medium between head shots and some body shots that are brushed. That way designs can be creative.

Thanks for the insights, Gregg. It's an ongoing process for you guys to learn and improve upon your hockey products--as it is for any company that looks to keep things fresh and interesting for collectors. The airbrushing of logos I understand absolutely, but I'm really not a fan of altering the art on the goalie masks. To me that's been the biggest drawback in the design department since Leaf took over the ITG brand.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

When I first saw pictures of the airbrushing, I hated it.
When I saw it in person in Heroes and Prospects, I realized that it wasn't that bad at all!
Yet... when I see it again in pictures and very prominent in Signatures Series Hockey... I haven't been able to bite on the product yet.
And I know what you are getting out of the product quantity wise, but I still find it hard to drop $130 on a box that may be filled with mostly CHL players that aren't going past the AHL. I guess that's where I miss the base cards. It gave me a reason to buy boxes (finish the base set) and deal with the blah autos and mem pulls.
That said, I loved ITG-Used last year. It was a great product that did not need base cards to anchor it. Looking forward to seeing more of this year's.
