    Where is Superlative Eichel?!

Why on Ebay are there 2 gold (x/5) Jack Eichel Superlatives but no silver when there are supposedly 25 of them out there? I have been tracking Ebay everyday for 3 months and they simply don't exist. Anyone else befuddled why there are more gold than silver when it should be the opposite?

Hopefully our friends at Leaf will jump in on this -- you'd think for sure those cards will be out there in some capacity, even if just as someone's Show & Tell. @LeafGregg what's the word?

Well, before you start with any conspiracy theories, the product was hand packed and all made it into the product. I saw probably 7 or 8 pulled at the expo when the product released. Now, as to why none are on eBay right now? Don't have an answer. I am sure it was cracked lightly after the expo. I am sure you can check closed auctions to find out. Every one of the Cards made it into release. I just should have made a product people wanted to open more of!

Sometimes it just happens with a product that's got low numbers for certain cards--they get pulled early and the collector squirrels them away immediately.

Wow I am really impressed right now. It is not often a company admits a product was not great. I opened 2 cases and to say I was really disappointed is an understatement. Best card I got was $150 logo patch out of 2 cases.

Sad part is I have been asked about buying presale Leaf products and because of the Superlative experience I am taking a wait and see approach.

I really like Leaf stuff but Superlative was not good at all. Value just wasn't there.

    Sorry this is OT

    Malsk,

Your experience is exactly why I haven't purchased the Superlative Boxes. My math indicates there are 1,000 boxes and 30 Eichels. Buying a box for Eichel is a measly 3% chance which I would do if I could at least come close to breaking even on the rest of their product. But since I can't and I assume others can't either, everyone has stopped buying/opening the Superlative product. My local merchant has a couple of cases sitting there since December. I guess that leads me to think if no one every buys the product, then I'll never see the card. Boy this is depressing.

Call a Dave & Adams Retail Location here in Buffalo, they were advertising at the Expo they were willing to buy Eichel's from Superlative. I bet they are sitting in their showcase for a ridiculous price tag.

I called D&A and they have the boxes of Superlative but no Eichel Superlative individual cards. Plenty of dime a dozen expo cards. They did tell me that one of their customers who opened a Superlative box pulled the 1/1 Superlative Eichel. I hesitated when it was on Ebay for $1,700. Kicking myself now, lol.

I have one of the /25, and can vouch that a few were on eBay when the product first launched. The 1/1 with his full signature finished at auction on eBay for $2200 IIRC.

$2,200 is a bit steeper than I thought. Thanks for clarifying the price. I suppose you aren't willing to sell your /25 for a nice profit are you?
