sorry, I PC Eichel, especially BU stuff, and that'll probably be his only BU auto ever... I wouldn't mind upgrading to one of those /5, but if they're still listed after all these months, I can't imagine those sellers coming down much over those inflated ask prices. Good luck though, they definitely are out there!

Wow I am really impressed right now. It is not often a company admits a product was not great. I opened 2 cases and to say I was really disappointed is an understatement. Best card I got was $150 logo patch out of 2 cases.

Sad part is I have been asked about buying presale Leaf products and because of the Superlative experience I am taking a wait and see approach.

I really like Leaf stuff but Superlative was not good at all. Value just wasn't there.

    Sorry this is OT

I simply cannot buy the stuff. No logos kills it for me. Just my opinion

The product suffered greatly due to the exchange rate in Canada. I think Superlative has some beautiful cards, and I don't judge based off return value on eBay sales. I think it wasn't built to be the price it ended up at in Canada, and that was poor planning on my part.

If you base your orders off the poor performance of one release, you will be missing out on some good stuff! :)

No you might not and I get that, but as a collector it has to factor into my buying decision.

You are likely right. Win some lose some. I have always bought ITG and now Leaf and enjoyed it.

You are also correct about the exchange rate. It dropped huge all of a sudden which made Superlative a much higher price point in Canada then it should have been.

    Gregg,

I think you're bang on with that assessment. The dollar here dropped so quick, I doubt there's much you (or your competition) could have done to ease the financial hit that it inevitably had on Canadian collectors.

The dollar drop being a strong point, is there anything leaf will do to adjust or will the price remain the same. I didn't know if Leaf would lower the box cost or if that will fall on the distributor. If they cut the price to $200 from $400, I know it would tempt me to start buying them again. Also, I like that it is his BU card. IMHO, it enhances the uniqueness of an already limited card.

I would pay $100 for that guys name and phone number! lol. Seriously though, if anyone knows where I might find him or another entity holding onto a bunch of his cards, send me a PM.
