I think that has to be the next step for Upper Deck. If they've proven to be committed to having an online trading card presence, then they (in my opinion) need to step up to the plate and help guarantee their customers some sort of safety on the secondary market. I know the secondary market sales isn't their responsibility per-say, but considering re-patched fakes have their name on it, I would think they should take some action here.
It's been long enough. Fake patches suck.Jhonas Enroth Card Collector & Host of the Hidden Content

The saddest part is, a member was allowed to go in to UD and take photos of I believe 07/08 ( might be wrong on year ) The Cup before the product was packed out. The member bought his own very expensive camera, did all the work and paid for everything himself ( flight / accommodations / tools ) .... let alone all the work to upload and create a site.
The following year, the same guy said he would do it again for UD for free, but they did not let him.
Doesn't sound like UD really cares too much about the fake patches.

Yeah, I remember hearing about that. Great idea!
It just goes to show you that the whole process wouldn't take much to execute, either. An intern could do it. Just take pictures and upload them onto a 'Upper Deck Card Verification' microsite or something.
Time consuming? Sure, but It's not that hard.
It's a simple process that would be HUGE for collectors. Imagine a world were you would never have to question another high-end patch again? That would be fantastic.Last edited by creasecollector; 11-17-2016 at 09:34 PM.

I can just hear the response from Upper Deck,
"The best way to ensure the authenticity of your patch or autograph is to pull it from your box, heck, make it a whole case"
Now do you understand why UD has not, and will not do this?
