    So Base Cards

what to do with base cards? I have a ton accumulated over the past year of collecting and basically no one really wants it as you cant trade them nor can you really sell them. So what do you do with them? Shall I just burn them or throw them in the garbage?

I just keep mine. Some dealers will buy them off you at a bulk rate (1/4-1/2 cent each) and will move them to a re-packaging company like Fairfield. There are some stores that have success in donating to children's hospitals, etc., but in certain markets they are already saturated with offers. Some people wrap 50+ in plastic wrap and give them out with candy at Halloween. Get creative if you can.

Find ways to give them away. See if your local Children's Hospital can use them. Find kids who want them. Or find a dealer that will take the whole stack from you for a super cheap bulk price. If you want to get super productive, start sending some TTM for autos, and see if you have any success. The TTM Manager here is pretty useful and that might take away some of your random base, and might even get you some autos in return.

I cracked open a case of UD2, and ended up with a ton of base. My LCS gave me some white storage boxes, I sorted them into base sets and have had pretty good luck getting rid of them for $5-7 a shot on eBay + shipping. If I have leftovers afterwards, I'll look to donate...but didn't find anyone in NYC who wanted them.

The TTM Manager is new to me, though. I might check that out!

I put an Ad on my local Sudbury buy & sell & they, (3 big shoe boxes full) were gone within an hour. They went to some kid for free & Im sure he got some enjoyment out of them & I was glad to get rid of them. I put my Base sets together & got rid of the rest. I see you are in Canada so i am sure the Community where you live has a buy & sell on Facebook. Cheers

There's always places to give them away - schools, children's hospitals, you name it.

Everyone else has pretty much nailed it.... in the past, when I had boxes and boxes of them kicking around: I'd give them away to charities that would take them.

I like to sort them and sleeve them and put sets toether when i have enough but otherwise just file them away in boxes.

I have 2 young kids (3 years and 6 months) and I figure eventually they will get older and maybe take an interest so those boxes of base cards will make for awesome gifts to give to them a little bit here and a little bit there

I actually just burn them and my decoys since my dad burns a lot. I just toss them in. I don't really want to go through finding a way to get rid of them plus they take up space so I just burn them.

All the suggestions above are fantastic and if they aren't an inconvenience then go for it. But you're not breaking a code or anything of you burn them/throw them away.
