For me - I'd rather you post a list of what you're trading or selling anyway. I can search it quickly (for player, set, etc). Go to photobucket? I suppose if you've got a card I want, I would follow a link... but search a bucket? I have not done that in years, and no desire to do it ever again. The adds, popups, etc - plus the slow load time on the site - give me lots of reasons not to want to do that.

Of course, other than GU cards - I have little need to see a scan. Have an autograph or insert card I need? Great. Let's make a deal. Make sure we know what the card is, tell me if there are any flaws, I don't really need to see the pic anyway.

That's your call, but I'd say the majority of people are not going to click on a Photobucket link at this point. The number of popups, popouts, scrolling ads, etc makes the site entirely unnavigable.

If your goal is to avoid making trades or sales, than Photobucket is definitely the best option.

With Flickr - Can someone tell me how to get the URL to put into IMG tags here? If I right click on it (like I did on photobucket) it just zooms in....

Easy. Once inside the album, just go to the photo you wish to post on the forum, click on it, and then click on the little right arrow on the bottom right-hand side.

From there, copy and paste the BBCode here and your image will show up.

This is my point - you can still use photobucket. You can go to my bucket, look at a scan, and click on a link. It works. Don't like ads? Use adblock.

It should be noted that I use a laptop, not an iPad or tablet, for my bucket. This is why I don't have issues with popups and ads. My internet connection is good too, it has a download speed of 51.83 Mbps and an upload speed of 11.13 Mbps.

I never trade "on the go". I have an iPad but I don't do anything related to collecting on it. Strictly laptop for that. So if people use other devices to view buckets, yes, they will have problems (just another example of why advancing technology is not always a good thing). I am in a different situation than many. I'm up on technology, but don't let it run my life. I like being "behind the times" a little. The only reason I have an iPad is because it was a Christmas gift. Not a big fan of it, which is why I prefer using a laptop.

I do have a plan though. I will use my Flickr to display my traders.

I'm in the same boat as Tony on this one. If someone wants me to look through their bucket, why would I say no?

This here is just my opinion of course, but I wouldn't let a trade slip away just based on the fact that I don't want to look or click through Photobucket. Sure, they could switch, but I'm not going to put blame on the trader or let it be the cause of a deal not taking place. If there's a deal to be done, and someone wants what I have, then sure, I'll scratch and claw my way through a couple of pop up adds and a slow site in order to get a trade done. It's happened before, so it's not the end of the world.

I do have my Flickr account fully loaded now though, for those who ignores buckets these days:

Can someone tell me why some scans on Flickr are larger than others? Can I adjust that?

When you view them within an album, some are just sorted like that by default. I'm not sure why Flickr designed it like that. I prefer the album view when you are logged in. Scans are a little smaller and easier to view in my opinion.

Sorry man I didn't mean to cause a ton of grief with our trade. I'm with some of the others, as I normally am posting a thread about specific cards for trade. If someone replies and says I am interested in X, please search my photobucket my response is usually "do you have any penguins or steelers?". I'd rather go outside and cut the grass than scroll through multiple pages of photobucket hoping to find something I like. Call me impatient or needy, but its just how I feel when I see a PB link.
