Leaf acquired all the game used collection from ITG and Dr. Price. Some patches, sticks, autographs on memorabilia are mixed up in cards. I can't remember the players or the card off hand but the Leaf rep here had some goalie card with a game used stick with an autograph of SOME OTHER PLAYER, because someone at Leaf thought it was cool.

What does some hockey fanatic that loves making cards do with a company that just bought out another company? They play around. Like a grown-up acting like a child and getting giddy with their acquisitions. Montreal picture with a black-hawks patch. 'Oh this is cool! Let's do it!'. Yeah.. and when the kid inside the grown-up actually grows up one day they realize it was a dumb move.

Leaf is playing around. They've made some cool stuff and I like a lot of it. They've also made some terrible decisions. Live and learn. Whatever.

Someone else might find that messed up card to be an awesome purchase. Obviously 1 person thought it was cool. Chances ares he isn't the only one.

Leaf is an absolute joke. For many reasons. Hardly anyone collects their hockey stuff. ITG Used is their best product and its pretty much stolen from ITG. Look at what they do with Eichel Autos. Eichel Towers autos LOL. Most are stickers and look so cheap. They sell for $20 and under. His Future Watch outsells most of Leafs Autos which are very short printed as well. I think they've done a terrible job and the secondary sales show

Actually, nothing from the current ITGU is anything near the old regime product, which was dead, so don't go there. As I explained in the earlier thread, I will take the blame for the mismatch on some of the jerseys. As we started production, I wanted more patches in the product and unfortunately that meant the jersey mismatch as that is what we had patches of, it was too late to switch out the image. My bad fully. If you harp only on a negative aspect and don't see any positive then you haven't opened the product. I can take the criticism and use it, but I take blame for this not some minimum salary worker.

Do you open any Leaf product? Before you come on here and call a company a "joke" please tell me if you open our product. Don't go on eBay and pick out a card you don't like and "LOL" Tell me what your experience opening an actual Leaf product and then we can have a conversation on what to work out. To say hardly anyone collects Leaf Hockey stuff shows you haven't been paying attention, especially when you say we pretty much stole ITGU from old ITG regime. It is a vastly different release, nothing like the the product that was discontinued prior to Leaf taking it over. if you saw people opening the product at the national this past week, you would maybe be more informed. Did you open any masked Men? Lumber Kings? Metal Hockey? The Revamped Ultimate? Were those "stolen" from the old ITG regime?? Not trying to be combative, but if you are going to bash a company, have facts.

I dont disagree with much of this post :) I stand by the game used stick featuring another auto because the game used stick was not the person that signed that portion. It was taken off a team signed stick. I agree, we have made some mistakes and have done some good things. Look, old ITG did some great things and made some mistakes as well. Most products at the end of their run were stale and not selling well and we needed to make a change, we did that. Not all changes worked, many did. We will keep moving forward. Some will not like it and some will.

First off, Gregg, thank you for coming on these forums. Your interaction is greatly appreciated. To sort of reign things in a little, I do want to say I, for the most part, like your product. It's impossible to like every card from every product. I find the overall quality of the cards produced has increased quite a bit from the old ITG. As much as I liked their product as well, things were beginning to get stale. While the issue I mentioned in my original post is my only real complaint about the product, I do find it frustrating when looking to add pieces to my collections. I'd love to get my hands on a Manson patch for my collection, but the picture of the Hawks jersey kills it for me. Perhaps it's just a different philosophy. I believe the design of the card should be created around the memorabilia being included, but it appears Leaf designs the cards first, and then includes the available memorabilia.

you know what, you're correct. We do design first and than I make adjustments on the fly to get the best patch available, that can be something I change going forward. I appreciate that point!

No problem, and thanks for listening! Keep it in mind if you decide to use more of that Manson jersey in a future release. I'd love to grab one!

Leafgregg, I like how ITGU looks this year, but I reallyyyyy like how you have incorporated a wide variety of players! That aspect does not concern me at all as I collect Lafleur, but you have some rare names in the product that have never been in releases before. Keep it up! Each product gets better and better

    Thanks

Gregg, thank you so much for coming on here and addressing criticism head-on!

Like any company you've had hits and misses, but overall I think you delivered a great product. I love the variety of short-prints, combined with the colours for each foil.

Keep up the great work and don't let the haters bring you down.
