Hobby Resolutions for 2018

For me, this is a 2-prong list

1) as a collector
2) as an admin/owner

I will not get into #2 here because that is a post I will make in mid-January (after vacation)


However, for my personal goals

1) Work on getting the Sabres/Bills/Indians Auto PC on track
2) get my 16x20's I plan to keep framed for the man-cave
3) Maybe start a set building project

1. Continue adding to the Dubnyk collection
2. Continue searching for the 1999-00 Aurora Championship Fever Parallels (Blue #/100 and Copper #/20)
3. Spend less Money (Haha) This is a multi-step process...

• First, slowly part with other pieces of the collection to help fund new Dubnyk's.

• Have a little restraint on new Dubnyk's and not pay a premium for the first one listed... which is a very difficult task... and may not be possible ;). Cant risk not seeing the card again!

• Also, try not to impulse buy on items that I don't need/fit in the collection~

4. I also need to work on being a little more active on the boards. I check in regularly, but need a bit more activity in posts.
5. Officially get rid of photobucket and transfer over to a better option!
6. And Finally.... Continue to enjoy the hobby of course!

1. Continue adding to the Emmitt Smith and Derek Jetercollection
2. Finally adding an Autograph of both Emmitt Smith and Derek Jeter
3. Apply for super collector status at somepoint with my Emmitt Smith collection
4. Get rid of any cards that are not PC
5. Becoming a Moderator
6. Downsize my Comic collection
7. Add to my Star Wars collection (cards and comics)

3) Continue to encourage other collectors in their pursuit of sweet new PC cards, and help then out whenever I can.

this isnt much fun.
I bought several thousand cards from a guy dirt cheap and have tried to sell them at obscenely low prices, like 10% of Beckett low value at times, and just no luck. Ebay is more of a pain than its worth and I would just rather do something else than try and move unmoveable cards. Ill buy the Tyson Jost cards I want straight from ebay for my pc, but other than that, its a drag. One bright spot was some really cool members on this forum I chatted with

3. Get a few rare 13-14 BTP cards
4. Finish one of the three remaining Masked Men Sets
5. Trying to land the 12-13 BTP Goaliegraph of Carey Price to finally finish the set
6. Keep having fun

Definitely stay on top of my lists, keep buying/selling in order to raise funds to chip away at my Prizm auto set. Continue to enjoy the hobby and maybe get my 6 year old up and running....he watched plenty of Don Cherry hockey videos over break, he's ready lol......
