Great feedback guys. It's nice to see some responses. I have began to worry about this site over the years. Let's keep it going.

Just 90? That's awesome! Gotta still get that auto'd Namath RC, yes?

I had a thought about making that the 5000th and final card needed to get into the Hall of Fame but i am not sure i can financially make that happen anytime soon. If i were to do it, i think just the pressure of getting into the hall would cause me to cheap out on the card. Just getting it to have it asap rather than really taking my time to get a copy that might be more expensive but far superior.

But yeah only 90 cards. I have a 2 on the way from ebay and some from comc that i have not had shipped over yet.

My 3 goals this year is to 1). Keep the collection growing, 2). Obtain more of the 2015 Museum Collection quad card with Wilson, Lynch, Sherman & Thomas, 3). Have between 200 and 250 Seahawks 1/1's in my collection. I would love to enter the Super Collector Hall of Fame one day. Whether it's just with my Seahawks card collection, or a combination of them with my sports memorabilia collection.

Dude your collection is real cool man. I like the style of it.

I'm with Capt Forest. I'm hoping to enter the Super Collector Hall of Fame on this site as a Nebraska collector. Was going for it in 2017 but things got in the way. Lost all my pictures and I'm not good with computers so having problems getting them in place to apply. Along with the picture issues my excel file had a problem and now I need to Update my back up.

    2. Was going for getting my 10,000 card this year but back off now just hoping for my 9,000 card. (At 8,400 now)

I stand by my statement ... your collection sounds amazing! Money clouds things ... collecting isn't about a "return on investment", it's about fun and memories and nostalgia and all that good stuff. Don't let an "investor" like me make you think my collection is more impressive than yours as it's not ... your collection is awesome and I miss the days when I just "collected".

Sometimes having a lot of money can actually take the joy out of things honestly ... but don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled with my own "investment/collection" too as I at least got to invest in a player I truly like and am having a blast following and watching his games with my son!

    Have a great night!

Holly, I really appreciate your words about my collection. I do agree with you, money does cloud things! My collection, whether it's the cards or signed memorabilia, has been nothing but fun and memories. To meet current/former players and get their autographs has been the most fun. Being able to shake their hand and talk to them, even if it's 10 seconds, is priceless to me. Where I'm from, I only got to watch these guys on TV. When I got older and out on my own, is when I got to start meeting them. And it's been fun ever since.

As for an investment, to me this stuff is and isn't. Yes, because I feel that the more I can continue to collect and if I were to have any kids, I would like to pass on the collection to them to continue or if they were not into it, they could sell it all. But I would hope they did it after I passed, so it wouldn't put me under first lol. If they got a good amount for everything, I would hope they split the $$ and that it would help them. No, because it's not an investment to me at this point in time. It's a fun hobby that means a lot to me. I have a friend who is a collector/seller and he moves things without much thought and sometimes it makes me think about mine and how much I appreciate what I have. He has tried a few times to get things from me so he could sell/trade. 90% of the time, I don't give in. The few times I have, I made sure that I already had something signed by that player so I don't lose out on something. For an example... The year David Ortiz retired, the Red Sox came to Seattle. We were at the hotel. All the people there had photos, cards, jersey. I stood out because I had an All-Star jersey. Big Papi signed for everyone. A lot of people commented on my jersey and my friend tried for months to get it from me. It's still in my collection!

Your collection doesn't make me feel as mine isn't impressive. If I compared mine to yours.... Mine is impressive and yours is IMPRESSIVE. It takes a lot of time and determination to do what you have done with yours. And yes, you are correct, money can take the joy out of things. If I had plenty of it with nothing to worry about, collecting these cards/memorabilia wouldn't have that same appeal. It would feel like it's almost a gimme or a guarantee. So, it wouldn't be much fun then.

One thing though.... For mine, yours, others on here or not, if we have a collection that is separated from our sell/trade bait..... It's our Passion! Whether it's a certain player or team. Never let someone bring you down because they don't agree with what you do with your $$. If they don't respect or care about your collection, then they don't need to see it.

If your passion makes you happy, that's all that matters!

Thank you for your comments too ... I agree with them 100%! I cherish two of my Jameis cards above all the others ... one because I basically went through hell with a crazy dealer for months and ended up trading rather than just paying cash for it, which made me feel I was even more personally invested in it, and the other because I got it signed and inscribed personally by Jameis, and my other two favorite items aren't cards at all but also two items I got personally signed and inscribed by Jameis despite his agents objections, hahaha ... the one isn't worthy anywhere near as much as some of my Jameis cards are, but it means a whole lot more to me as it's "personal".

Your last two paragraphs were also so true ... there is so much craziness, jealousy and the like in this card collecting game, it can take the fun out of it, but as long as one is having fun, it doesn't matter what anyone else says or thinks.

    Have a great day!
