The issue I've had is sellers cancelling auctions after I win a quick buy it now auction with the reason being "damaged or out of stock" and then the item pops right back up on ebay for more money.

I've contacted eBay about this, they don't care. I won a contenders Jimmy G auto for $0.99 because the seller listed this as a buy it now and not an auction, not saying he should have completely honored that one but he could have offered something instead of relisting. The day before I won a huge Jimmy G buy it now lot with 2 SP rookies /999 for $165.00, the seller relisted it because they sold so quickly and made $400.00.

This is one of the myriad of problems with eBay including the buyer scams, seller fees and horrible customer service. I wish there was an alternative option.

Technically you could sue sellers like that in small claims court and win as eBay sales are legally binding contracts ... probably not worth the time and hassle for you though.

I know. On the contenders I probably lost out on about $600 and the SP /999 with the other cards close to $1000. The seller of the SP's was a real ™™™™™ too and the cards he resold right away and said tough sh*t. I could sue but those cards are in the hands of another buyer now.

I had a seller try to extort an extra $25 out of me when his auction started and ended at $99.99... the next morning I woke up to pay and he'd canceled the sale. Didn't contact me, so I asked why he canceled, said the card was pending in a facebook trade. Later listed it for $125 BIN. I posted on another board at the time explaining the situation and suggesting people avoid the seller (as he had feedback that indicated he'd done similar things in the past), was surprised when more than a couple of people complained that I brought it up. Crazy what ebay/the hobby have become.

Forget the message boards, I would've reported that to ebay as I did when it happened to me. That's an obvious infraction and the seller should be suspended.

I forgot about this thread lol. Had another issue this past month. Bought a card for $1.75 with free shipping and after 2 weeks, no card. Contacted the seller and they responded by saying I would be getting the card shortly. 2 weeks later still no card. Contacted the seller 2 more times with no success. Reported it to eBay. So, I got a whole $1.75 refunded lol. If anyone sees a Paul Richardson from 2014 Topps Inception Rookie Jumbo Relic 156/215..... Let me know
