Yeah, he may have had a chance until putting up a measly 25 yards last week.

What's up with Heisman candidates this year? First Michael Bush goes down, then Brian Brohm and Adrian Peterson, and now Wolfe chokes. It's looking more and more like Troy Smith's trophy to lose, unfortunately.

Smith, or Steve Slaton, or Mike Hart. Slaton espicially if West Virginia makes it to the National championship game, which I hope doesnt happen. There are alot of one loss teams that deserve it before they do. Texas, Notre Dame, Auburn, and Florida to name a few.

are you serious?? if WV goes undefeated they definatley deserve a chance at the title....they would have beat an undefeated louisville team (most likely they will meet undefeated), a 1 loss PITT team, a 1 loss Rutgers team!! how can you throw an undefeated WV team under the bus, and let Texas in?? they will lose to nebraska today, and the big 12 is horrible this year (much worse than the big east)....WV won their BCS game by 40 last year!! they arent a mid major, they are a great offense that any team (OSU, SC) will have a problem stopping!! give them a chance, if they run the table, it would be a great game!!

and slaton would have had a GREAT chance at the trophy, but pat white hurts his resume (especially when he goes for 200yds and 4 tds like last week)

if usc and wv both go undefeated, there is NO WAY that wv deserves a chance. usc will have had to beat arkansas, nebraska, asu, oregon, cal, notre dame. no chance for wv if usc goes undefeated

never said they should....but if there are only 2 undefeated teams (WV and either SC/michigan/OSU) then west virginia deserves to play for the national championship....not over any other undefeateds, but if they are one of only 2, they gotta have a chance.

I think the Heisman should go to the best player in NCAA football. Not the best player on the best team in NCAA football.

If Texas was #1 last year and USC was #2, Vince Young would have gotten it, not Bush. Its all politics.

So in saying that, Wolfe has no chance to win it.

    Think about this....
Colt McCoy 1229 yds 18 tds 3 int 175.27 rating 96 yds rushing
Troy Smith 1495 yds 17 tds 2 int 172.75 rating 88 yds rushing

Now I am in no means saying that Colt McCoy is better than Troy Smith, because IMO he's not. But how could a redshirt freshman have slightly better stats than the "Heisman frontrunner". Because no matter what anyone here thinks, if Ohio State goes undefeated, Troy Smith will win the Heisman. And im not sure about the stats of the other people ya'll have mentioned, but im sure some of them, especially Wolfe, derserve the Heisman more than Smith. Plus Smith has arguably the best receiver in NCAA football to throw to, that helps his stats alot. So as good as Wolfe is, or anyone for that matter, until someone takes down Ohio State, you can count on Troy Smith being your Heisman trophy winner, with Ted Ginn being third.

a 1 loss PITT team, a 1 loss Rutgers team!!

Pitt has two losses, and the Rutgers arent good.

they will lose to nebraska today,

They did not loose to Nebraska.

Dont even start with that BS. You cant compare the Big 12 and the Big East. Throw West Virginia in almost any other confernce and I bet they have atleast 1 loss.

Its gonna Michigan/Ohio State and I hope to God USC runs the table, so we see two deserving teams in the biggest game of the year.

Pitt had one loss when that post was made (lost to rutgers yesterday)

the big east has 3 undefeated teams right now, more than any other conference

the big east has 3 teams in the top 15 in rushing (west virginia leads the NATION in rushing offense)

the big 12 is bad this year....oklahoma barely beat UAB (with peterson), texas SHOULD have lost to nebraska yesterday (any good coach would have had a win...should know that if you watched the game!!)....missouri, tech, ok st, a&m....all over rated

i dont expect a 17 year old kid to know his college football, but rutgers is a very good team!! should try watching some football other than your team. but i guess louisville sucks too, right??

reguardless, the mountaineers WILL play in a BCS game (against a solid team) and when they win by 20, then you can give them the respect they deserve!! they dont have a shut down defense, but they are as good as any offense in the country!!

Im 17, Im not old enough to have my opinion on college football. I shoulda known this, before posting.

should know that if you watched the game!!)....

Did watch the game, what I seen was a defense that caused a turnover and took advantage of it.

missouri, tech, ok st, a&m....all over rated

Missiouri and A&M are both in the top 25, overall the Big 12 has 5 teams in the top 25 this year.

You cant compare the two conferences.

they dont have a shut down defense,

Defense wins championships. Dont take anyting I say seriusoly because Im only 17.
