So it's now the end of business in my area, and his.

UPS only has a tracking number. I know they are slow, but if he had really paid for it last night, it should have moved thru the system, to the UPS distribution center in his area, at the least.

    But nothing.

I do not think he has sent the card yet. Just trying to get more from me.

I AM going to respond tonight. Telling him no way. I am not paying UPS charges when he listed it as Standard Shipping USPS. If he had asked $15 in the listing, I never would have seriously looked at the card. Once I see shipping like that, I pass right away.

I'll let ya know what he says.

    A copy of my response:

"I'm sorry, but your listing said shipping was the Standard Shipping, by USPS, that's the US Postal Service.
What I got was a tracking number from UPS, United Parcel Service.

And that tracking number indicates UPS is NOT in possession of the item. Meaning you have not sent it yet.

No, I am not willing to pay UPS shipping prices.

Please send the card using the regular mail."

I'll let ya know his response.

Well, he hasn't responded yet, but I now think I owe him a minor apology.

I talked to a local UPS store about their tracking system, and learned that they don't scan the packages like the USPS does. It might take the entire day until the brown truck actually picks up an item, and enters it into their system. Until the driver scans it, the system only shows the number.

Sure enough, checking again, there is now an "origin scan" (what the guy told me to look for, meaning it's now on the truck, heading to their local Dist. center.

The card sat in the UPS store last night and all day today. It was scanned by the driver there at 7:03 PM. Not half an hour ago.
So it looks like he did indeed send it, and pay thru the nose to do so.

I'll apologize for accusing him of not even sending yet, but I still am not paying anything extra.

Yeah, me too. Just checking, it took the UPS store, according to the tracker, 24 hours and 22 minutes to "process" the order.

I've posted before I cannot figure out how to put up pics anymore. And my computer is so old now I no longer save images of the cards I buy anymore.

But I'll post a link to the auction when the card arrives. Probably not till Monday now.

I think you're being too hard on yourself considering the seller waited a relatively long time to ship the card and had the audacity to ask you for $15 in additional payment for shipping. It's laughable.

Don't feel bad. He probably decided to ship UPS Ground because he waited so long and wanted to get you the item within eBay's expected shipping window.

Let him squirm and don't give him another dime.

It was due yesterday. This morning it says it's in Trinidad, Colorado, so it's coming.

Naw, I accused him of something he did not do, so apologizing for that was important to me.

That's done, and he's not getting anything else from me. Feedback maybe, but not money.

Well, the card came yesterday, and It's just fine.

    Here it is:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-National-Treasures-Draft-Treasures-Signatures-Khalil-Mack-Shane-Ray-10-15/113175426083?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid =p2060353.m2749.l2649

Remember Ebay now takes you to a new "suggestion" when you try to go to a finished auction. You will likely have to click the link on the top of their page to get to the item that has already ended.

The thing about this card was that the only other person selling one, several actually, is BlackRose. So even though I pretty much paid full price for this, it's way better than paying 10 to 12 times it's value for a copy. His are in the $1000, to $5000 price range. $79 was cheap.....

Other than his being slow, and then asking for more money, I am pretty satisfied. I got the card I wanted, and he did include another Ray for the delay. A 15 Score Shane Ray helmet patch card. Which I did not have, so I guess that's something. He got a simple "thanks" positive feedback, but I did ding him on the shipping. First time I have ever not given a seller five stars across the board.

I just can't believe a seller went and paid UPS prices, and then asked me to cover his mistake. Doesn't anyone take responsibility for their own actions anymore?

UPS topped it off by leaving it on my porch while I was at the Bronco game last night. Nothing happened, but I worried about porch pirates all night until I got home. That just would have been the perfect ending to this sale.

That is really confusing as to why he listed standard shiping (USPS) and then went to a UPS store to ship it. It is a bummer that he ended up paying more for shipping, but being an eBay member for 6 years he should know the difference between shipping methods and price associated to those ways.
