    EBay Shipping the RIGHT way.

Bought a Wali Lundy Absolute Memorabilia AU a while back on Ebay for 99 cents.

Noticed afterward that shipping was $6. Kicked myself, but paid.

    Got it today.

Let's see....priority shipping...and a freaking 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick magnetic holder. Now -that- is worth $6 in shipping. :)

I've seen it higher than that. I always double check shipping and figure that in with what I want to pay. I won't bid on an auction where the shipping is outrageous, even if I want the card and it goes cheap enough with shipping. I just won't do it.

I always ship good. Right now i have a huge card online. I am shipping it in a screw down in a team bag... bubble mailer... and a small box that a dvd would ship in. I am also including insurance and shippiong is only $5. I think that is a good idea.

eBay is apparently cracking down on excessive shipping charges. If you think a seller is charging excessive amounts, you can report him or her to eBay. There was a blurb about this in the last Beckett.

That is way I prefer not to buy off of ebay, unless it's a card I really need. Otherwise, shipping charges can be very high. Also, I have been involved in buying from a few bad sellers.

I always look at the shipping price and factor that into the price I'm willing to pay for the card. Shipping might be $4 but the card could be 50 cents. Overpriced shipping, but the card was underpriced.
