The BCS is calculated very simply. It is a combination of the Harris, USA Today, and Computer Ranking Polls. The computer rankings (which we know as the BCS rankings) are calculated in 5 different categories, each with a maximum of 25 points, but calculated in inverse order (25 for #1, 24 for #2, etc). Here is how it stands (BTW, two letter initials stand for the man conducting the computer rankings).
A&H Comp Ranking - Ohio State 24 Michigan 25
RB Comp Ranking - Ohio State 25 Michigan 24
KM Comp Ranking - Ohio State 24 Michigan 25
JS Comp Ranking - Ohio State 24 Michigan 25
PW Comp Ranking - Ohio State 24 Michigan 25
Ohio State BCS Computer Ranking %: .960
Michigan BCS Computer Ranking %: 1.000
Ohio State Comp. Avg: 2
Michigan Comp. Avg: 1
Ohio State BCS Avg: .9864
Michigan BCS Avg: .9697
Oh and by the way, Michigan has the best strength of schedule in the nation.
Well said, everyone seems to forget that Michigan gave Wisconsin there only loss.

I think there should be a playoff. Top 10 teams in the BCS, #1 and #2 get a bye. Something like that. Because no one really knows who the best is, its all opinion, and sometimes its a very biased opinion.

You want Ohio State to win because I called you out on your Mountaneers? Fine by me, all that much sweeter when they win.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that.
Another team that might screw with the BCS is Boise State.

It doesnt matter if you win or not anymore, its how much you humiliated the other team. People say Texas isnt good because they barely beat Nebraska or Texas Tech. You have to run the score up to get peoples respect.

Thats why the BCS is bull™™™™... how can a computer tell how good a team is... you can lose to the best team in america on their home field without a Heisman trophy winner in the first game of the season and you have no chance because the computer looks at it as a loss...

i love college football as much as the next guy, but a playoff WILL NEVER happen cause there is over 200 million dollars tied into the bowl games....it would be impossible to have all the big bowl games AND a playoff system.....would be nice, but cant happen.

no one needs to call me out on my mountaineers....i posted a respectful thread on louisville before the game was even over!!! i NEVER said that WV was the best....NEVER!! all i said is IF they run the table (or rutgers or louisville) that they deserve a chance to play for the championship!! gets old hearing that the osu/michigan loser should play again for the championship....THEY BOTH HAVE A CHANCE!! all they need to do is win, and they play in the big game....not every team has that oportunity (win and in).
