    Deodorizing cards

Hey all, looking for some feedback here. Recently acquired some cards and they smell pretty bad. Like maybe they've been in a room where smoking occurred. Last time I has this happen with musty cards I just let them sit FOREVER until they didn't stink anymore but I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on how to safely speed this process up? Many thanks,
    Shawn

You can buy some fabric softening sheets at the dollar store, put them in between the sheets and put a heavy object on top of the sheets.........I guess?

Just thinking out loud here but.... maybe leaving them outside. Not in direct sunlight of course, and you'd have to cover them, but maybe try that? If you have a protected space near a window also could potentially work.

This is not new. Those of us who aren't smokers can tell immediately when a heavy smoker has sent us cards.

I used to be a smoker (never in the house) and since I quit, I can smell it on the envelopes when I take them out of the mailbox.

I've currently got them all sealed in a new box with some baking soda...really hoping this works or the next option is to leave them near some air. I've air-cleaned musty cards before as I don't wnt to use anything that will simply replace the gross smell with a different one. Nobody wants cards that smell like Febreze lol

    Yup

There is a reason why people will mention the cards on eBay are from a SMOKE FREE HOME. Besides being stinky they (if the cards are white) yellow like crazy from all the tar and garbage that are in cigarettes/cigars.

You could try to throw one of these in a ziploc bag with them.
