    Good background

I'd definitely do a background check on potential traders. Better be safe than sorry, trust me.

One thing I always do is put return addy in with the cards incase they get separated from the envelope, that way the post office or who ever can ship back.

    Smile trading tips

I rarely ever trade openly online, except at shows and conventions. If I have a customer who I have dealt with several times through Naxcom/Sportsbuy, then I will always consider trading with them...I think in many ways trading is kind of a lost art in the hobby.

Thank you to everyone for the tips. I have been collecting for quite some time, but I have never done much in terms of trading. I've started attending bi-weekly trade nights at my local card shop, but I still haven't done much in terms of trading. I look forward to making trades with people I meet on here.

    Great to hear!!

Trading, especially in person is a very rewarding part of the hobby, it's actually vital to our hobbies growth(Sadly card shops are few & far between).
Trading away something that doesn't fit your collection for a piece that does is a true win-win.

If anyone should have any questions feel free to ask, PM, email, while I'm not very active online, I still partake in this great hobby, and have many years to reference from :D

Or... just post in the applicable sports forum as there are many great & knowledgeable collectors here at SCF who are more than happy to share their experiences.

    Have Fun
