Havent bought or even looked at cards in awhile. Then today I bought a box/pack of leaf limited football for 65 bucks and pulled a freakin rudi johnson gu jersey....Im pretty bummed considering i was saving up for something this is a bad hit for me...someone cheer me up with some stories like this or something please

i paid over $200 for a redemption of a 05-06 lebron james sweet shot orange auto. the cards were live but after i entered my redepmtion, upper deck told me some screwed up all the cards they had left and they had to reprint them. here i am 4 months later and the status is still "Autographs in house, cards in production process, expect some delays until completion."

on a side note, i have a 05-06 rashad mccants relfections blue auto /50 bv is $40, i really like these, are they for trade?

Well...where to start LOL.

The box that actually made me stop collecting was a box of 2005 SP Authentic Football.

Of course I purchased it ($129.99+Tax) hoping to get an Auto RC Patch....:icon_roll

Well, lets say I beat the odds and pulled 4 Autos....:new_shock (woo-hoo right?)

Well, it was a Walter Reyes Auto Rookie, Ryan Fitzpatrick Auto RC, Frank Gore SFS Auto and a...um.....geez who was that guy....OH YEAH!! Eric Shelton SFS Auto.....:icon_roll

Long story short, I sold it all on eBay hoping to recoup some of my loss and I was lucky enough to pull in about $20 total for all 4 of those cards combined.

Now, looking back the Gore is the only card that is anything special (if you want to call it that).

That box break all together made me stop buying wax. Smartest move I ever made LOL

I also had a really crappy case of 01-02 UD Hardcourt Basketball. Nothing but common autos and floor cards (multiples of the same cards), and the "case hit" was an allen iverson metal jersey (that was damaged).

thanks guys...hey spydermat im selling all my cards so if you want them make an offer,,in the upcoming days I will be starting threads selling all my stuff..I think its safe to say this box and 2006 topps jumbo football killed the hobby for me

Maybe we can't buy wax, but we can buy a boatload of bubbles :) save them till you get like IDK 10 or so, then open as packs...HITS GALORE and of YOUR WANTS...WooooHoooo

About 2 months ago I bought a box of Bowman Chrome for 85 bucks. My best pull was a Pedro Lopez auto. I was so pissed I went back and bought another box, and pulled a Eli Iorg auto. After I busted them I realized how much I spent and was pretty pissed. Everyone out there, do not do what I did. 170 bucks dropped that miserable night.
