Grading question
I have never gotten any cards graded, but I think I am going to get my Alex Gordon Bowman Chrome auto graded. 2 Questions. 1.) Do you think I should get it graded? and 2.) Which grading service should I use? PSA or BGS??
Any help is appreciated
Thanks, Eric

1. Obviously, whether you should get it graded depends on the edges/corners/surface/centering. If its well centered and there are no noticable blemishes, then yes.
2. Definetly use BGS. A BGS 9.5 outsells a PSA 10 every single time.

Thanks coolguy for your input. From my untrained eye, the card looks as if it is in great condition (picture in my bucket). Anybody else can help?

Grading is a little TOO picky for me. That's why I only BUY graded cards, and have not had a card graded to date...
I am not 100% sure, but the top left corner looks white and the top to bottom centering looks just a tad off. I think a 9 would be a stretch...
On the other hand, the case would be GREAT to keep in if you decide to keep it. You would protect that card for LIFE in a BGS holder.
Good luck with it and let us know what you decide to do.

I agree with the top-bottom centering, it is a little off, but all corners are solid black. Thanks 4 your input.
Anybody else, Eric

That card would definetly be a 9, as the centering is decent all around and everything else seems good.

Thank you Rick Polus. Now saying I get a BGS 9, would that be worth getting it graded if I were gonna get a 9?

Not really. It would probably drive the price up a couple bucks but that would be cancelled out by grading/shipping costs. People really just shoot for 9.5's when grading, that's why most grade in bulk.

What do other people think. Should I get it graded?
