He's no longer a Canadiens of course, but was surprised to read this morning that supposedly Columbus doesn't intent to protect Max Domi. If that's the case, he should be an easy decision for Seattle. He's a good kid and hopefully can get into a good position to succeed.

Do they gamble on Drouin or will they take Armia or Byron.
The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators,Guy Lafleur, + trade bait.

I'm hoping for the former. Regardless of fault, Drouin has never lived up to the hype in Montreal. He will always be compared to Sergachev who has had a brilliant career so far in TB. I truly believe that Drouin needs a fresh start. Armia and Byron were solid contributors to Montreal's playoff run and I hope they get a chance to help build on that success next year.

With Armia being UFA, I don't see Seattle taking him. They probably wouldn't take any of the UFAs. Byron's contract is cost prohibitive. Drouin is too much of a question mark. I honestly see it being one of the two Jakes...Allen or Evans.

Seems so far like teams would much rather deal with each other to save themselves than deal with Seattle.... this makes me think they're a little gun-shy, but also that Ron Francis is trying to fleece them and they don't really appreciate it.

A big gamble that they won't want to take on that salary for five years. https://www.tsn.ca/montreal-canadien...raft-1.1669047

I really could have done without that news item today. It’s gonna be a stress-filled time until the draft, now.
