    1999-2000 Upper Deck

I notice that some card are foily and others are not. Were these cards inserts or were they sold separately in packs? Are they short printed or mass produced? Any information about cards in this set would be appreciated

Yea, I think the foily one are the gold reserve

I didn't collect that year and I want to know why some cards are foily and others aren't Were the fioly inserts or were they sold separately? Are they worth more or the same?

So that is correct the "foily" cards are the Gold Reserve cards, the big difference is with the Young Guns at the end. In the base series they are not numbered, for the Gold they are out of 2999, if I am correct. As far as price goes, I have not seen any real difference in any of them. To be honest that set has no big rookie in it, so no popularity.

I don't see a number on my young guns foil card so i'm going to assumed that although they made 2999 it's not offically numbered.

The Sedin's and Luongo have YG's but they are not considered rookies I guess

So What would be the true 'upper deck' rookie card for the sedins? Not Including the sweedish hockey cards. I'm seeing a whole bunch of sedin cards before their YG came out in 1999-00

As far as I remember. The Gold Reserve were only sold at Seven-Eleven locations. At least that's where I was only ever able to find them.... Waaaay back in the day!

YGs from Series 1 are not numbered, rookies from Series 2 are /2500.

I broke a box of Series 1 a few years ago, fun break, the cards are nice with the foil. I also pulled a Drury auto!

If you mean Upper Deck Series 1/2: There isn't one.

The Sedins had RCs in 1997-98 Black Diamond. Those are their only RCs.

One thing I'd mention about the "regular" Series 1/2 vs Gold Reserve:

The Gold Reserve has extra cards in Series 2...

The normal series 2 checklist only goes up to 335. Gold Reserve got to 350. These cards only only available in the gold set....

    336 Antti Aalto
    337 Andreas Karlsson
    338 Joel Prpic
    339 Travis Brigley
    340 Steve Passmore
    341 Georges Laraque
    342 Brad Chartrand
    343 Francis Bouillon

    344 Karlis Skrastins
    345 Karel Rachunek
    346 Andy Delmore
    347 Martin Sonnenberg
    348 Ben Clymer
    349 Chris McAllister
    350 Harold Druken
