    Getting into football

I'm back again after a very long break of about 4 months from collecting. I started back up again last spring and got into it pretty deep. The only problem is I'm back at school and don't have as much money to spend any more on cards like I had during the summer.

I collected mostly baseball and while that was fun, I noticed that my favorite sport to collect was football. I bought a few of Mike's Mojo and got a couple nice cards.

My problem now lies in whom do I want to collect. I asked this before and got about 3 responses so I'm hoping to get a few more this time around.

I'm looking to get mostly autos and patch cards of the guys I start to collect, but who do I want to collect. I got a few cards of Ryan Moats who is one guy that I think is relatively easy to collect. Other possible players are Ben Watson and Andre Johnson. I want to collect guys who are good, young, and on the rise if at all possible. My favorite teams are the Packers and Browns.

If anyone can give me suggestions that'd be awesome.

    Thanks

I'd say Charlie Frye, hes young and hes the starter already and hes got to nice revieving options to help him in edwards and winslow. his cards arent that hard to get too.

greg jennings or wait till braylon's stuff starts to drop (they are about to)....if you aren't in it for the money, i have found the WRs tend to be cheaper and more available than QBs and RBs

Jennings and Frye are 2 good options. I'm trying to pick out a rookie this year to start collecting for the future. The only bad part is right now I don't have any money so it'll be awhile before I start to buy anything.

Any thoughts on Roddy White? I know he's kind of not producing like expected.

white is flat out horrible!! no offense to any white fans, but i have seen him drop the most easy passes i have seen in recent years (honestly, his PT is gonna start dropping due to his play....he dropped 2 passes yesterday that were right on the numbers).....great in college, bad in the pros (cough, mike williams, cough)

if you are willing to stray from the pack and browns send me a PM and ill throw some names your way!!

Being a Packer fan it's hard not to collect Favre. I know his stuff will be pricey, but it'd be nice to get a few cards from him before he retires and stuff goes up even more.

Who are some defensive guys that have a fair amount of cards available? Again, with the Packers, A.J. Hawk is a guy that'd be fun to collect.

That would be a very nice start to my collection, but I don't have money for that kind that card, at least not right now.

After I made my last post, I sat on the couch and thought, Aaron Rodgers... What is the going rate on him?
