Off season trade thread.
Any predictions?
I will make one: Erik Karlsson to the Kraken. Seems like a perfect fit for the newest franchise to sign a star player.
Bruins had to dump salary so the Hawks get a winger with speed for Bedard in Taylor Hall, plus a veteran in Foligno. Looks like a great move for the Hawks and the Bruin's will now possibly be able to resign Bertuzzi.
Dubois to the Kings is rumored for a while now with Vilardi or Byfield, and Iafallo as possible return. I don't mind Vilardi if he signs an extension.
Hellebuyck does not want to resign but also wants 9 m per which may scare a lot of teams away.
The Flames, everyone wants out? lol Not sure what's going on there.
The Leaf's: Keep the big 4 or does Matthews want too much?

This is likely a good idea with all the activity happening today!
Hayes is also traded to the Blues for a 6th.
And it looks like the Dubois deal is imminent.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

As per Yahoo Sports ...
Though the exact details have yet to drop, centre Gabriel Vilardi, top-six winger Alex Iafallo and young forward Rasmus Kupari are all reportedly part of the deal, as well as a second round pick, which would be a tidy bit of work from Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff — who didn't have a whole lot of leverage after Dubois informed the team he didn't plan on extending while essentially asking for a trade earlier this month.

The Devils just got better with Toffoli.

Feels like Winnipeg just fleeced the Kings. My prediction is LA will live to regret this trade.

I'm happy to see Danny B embrace the rebuild the Flyers should have started 2 years ago. They haven't been watchable since the 2020 bubble, and won't be for several more years, but at least there seems to be a plan and not a Fletcher "retool".
Patrick Roy PC: Playing days 1985/86-2002/03, excluding 1/1, National Show/All-Star Game stamped issues.

I agree ... Vilardi on his own could be better than PLD. The fact that the Kings added more including a pick looks great for Cheveldayoff. Considering that his back was against the wall on this one, I think he received a decent haul.

The Devils have just signed Timo Meier to an eight year, $70,400,000 contract. The deal comes with an average value of $8.8 million per season.

Another prediction: Hab's trade their #5 pick and that player ends up being a hall of famer.
