They already put Bailey on waivers to buyout his contract. Hall, Foligno and Perry (if he signs) are all players they can flip at the deadline to playoff teams. They can eat 50% of their contract and have the cap space back for 24/25, except for Hall who has two years left.

As of today, the Hawks have 4 players signed for the 24/25 season with just over $60 million in cap space. Any free agents they sign will only be for one- or two-year deals. They could very well have a ton of cap space next year when the free agency starts. Alot of good UFA's might be available next year.

Some surprising buyout news today as the Predators will buy out the final three years of Matt Duchene's contract. It will be costly to them until 2029:

Agreed. Someone will pick him up though, he's a pretty reliable scorer who can still play on a second line and add some depth.

Bruins interested in Schiefele. Maybe they think he will back check for them? Seems like an odd fit but who knows. The Jets will need a #1 goalie so maybe something happens.

Kinda cool for Max Domi to get the 1-year deal with Toronto. As long as nobody digs up any of the photos with him & his dad in Montreal and all the stuff they said, should be a great fit. LOL
