What should I do?? (regarding Upper Deck Redemption)

Hello Everyone!!

Just getting tired of waiting for Upper Deck to send my (x2) 2005 SPx Mike Williams RC Auto Jerseys (Game Worn).

I redeemed them over 15 months ago. Have not been asked if I want a replacement yet but I am getting anxious to call.

I have nearly $300 tied up in these two cards ($120 for one and nearly $150 for the other). With him playing in Detroit, he looks like a Bust so I am sure the value of these cards has gone down quite a bit......:icon_evil

I don't think he is a bust, I think he has some crazy talent that isn't being put to good use. (trust me, Detroit is a place where careers get tainted....:icon_roll ).

Anyways, I guess my options are call Upper Deck and see if I can get a decent replacement (because I know if they make it an option they will only offer crappy cards) or should I wait it out and hope I get them sometime before BMW gets released and isn't in the league anymore??

call bother,pester, yell raise cain but by all means make sure you get the cards you want ud is wrong here not you 15 months is ridiculous try and hit them up for one of this years hot rookies instead. just my opinion though take care steve

Should I maybe wait until after the holiday? I don't want to be treated like a # LOL.

Its weird, I received an email from UD back in September stating that they had just shipped a 2002 UD Graded Joey Harrington Auto RC. They had already sent this to me a couple years ago, but I thought I might have been lucky and maybe they were sending me another.

I haven't received anything, but it is odd that I would receive an update stating that an item has shipped to me but then nothing comes....

But I would like to get these cards. The Mike Williams cards are actual Game Worn Jersey (since he wasn't at the Photo Shoot and didn't have an "event worn" jersey available. Not many Rookies have actual Game Worn jerseys until their second year.

I will keep this thread updated with any results. Maybe I will call tomorrow.

Mike,

You need to call UD and explain to them that this situation is getting a little out of control. Explain that you bought this cards 15 months ago when the values were way more then there current market price and tell them youd like to get exchanges on a different item that book in a suitable range for you((youll have to determine that on your own)).. Let them know that you dont want to be screwed on the waiting process and lose value if they dont get anything in.

I have that same card, and the Spectrum version as well. I did call, twice and got the same response both times. They had trouble securing the jerseys from the players for that set. That's the holdup, so they say. This really sucks for me because those redemption cards look stupid in my set lol. Anyway, they told me (a month ago) that the cards should be ready in 2-3 months.

I am glad I didn't buy the spectrum LOL. I would be really mad about it.

I am actually pretty mad about it. Mike Williams was the most dominant WR I have seen since Moss. I thought there was no way that the Lions would draft him and then they were lucky enough to land him.

Well, this whole "dicipline" deal about not playing him because he doesn't practice well or whatever, and that he is overweight so they won't play him. (He is at around 235 or something, which is a good size for someone who is 6'5".). Game speed and practice speed are two different things.

I just hope he gets some playing time. I mean c'mon, the Lions are starting a converted SS at WR instead of BMW!!! (Furrey).

The Lions are a mess, I don't know how I am still a fan....:new_all_c . First of all, the whole mess with Charles Rogers really sucked. I live about 5 minutes away from MSU (Michigan State University) and when Rogers was here and getting ready to go pro he was compared to Randy Moss...:new_shock .

2 broken collarbones and a suspension surely didn't help him develop, but I know there is still skill there. Someone just needs to shape him up.

Sorry about my little Lions rant LOL, they frustrate me. I look forward to each game every week and they ALWAYS disappoint.

I think they could have a top 3 draft pick this year, any good prospects out there??? (I don't follow college sports)
