I collect Bob, so... I still would have wanted the Oilers to hoist it, 'cause of McDavid, and 'cause they're a Canadian team. But as I said, since I collect Bobrovsky, I think either way I can't really lose...

Oilers are not going gently into that good night in Game 4.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Not gently at all, lol.
I'm an optimist with this team. Back at the beginning of November I would have said that their chances to make the playoffs are not looking great, but they've got the players capable of getting out of the hole they're in. Could they? Well, they did. They were the best team in the league after the coaching change.
These finals? As long as they've got a chance, I'm hopeful. They're too good not to have a chance. Winning Game 4 drastically improved those chances.... using really basic stats: If you give each team a 50/50 shot at winning a game: The Oilers had about a 6.25% chance of winning the series. Now? About 12.5%
Not that I really buy into the idea that every game in the final is a 50/50 chance (there's other factors involved) but really, the first four games don't mean anything as far as the outcome of Game 5 (or later).
I'm not sure that I've ever been a big believer in "momentum" - but I am a big believer in confidence. The Oilers looked like a team who were afraid to shoot in Game 2. Bob was in their head. The Oilers should absolutely be oozing with confidence after Game 4.
There is also no reason that Florida should be any less confident. Fans suggesting they threw the game so they could win at home are clueless IMO. Forget how many family members of the Panthers were flown in for Game 4..... nobody is throwing a game on purpose. The owner might (VERY quietly) prefer winning in 5 to 4, but that's where it stops. Florida is a very good team, they beat the Oilers three straight - and I expect they will come out guns-a-blazing in Game 5.
If Bobrovsky is down on himself for another game (i.e. the Oilers are in his head, much like he was in their head for Game 2) we could really have a series.
Florida is probably going to win the series, but I really think Edmonton has the players to pull off the improbable.

You know they say that all men are created equal, but you look at Sergei Bobrovsky and you look at Edmonton and you can see that statement is not true. See, normally if you go one on one with another team, you got a 50/50 chance of winning. But Bobrovsky's on the case and he's not normal! So Edmonton got a 25%, AT BEST, at beating Florida. Then you add Sasha Barkov to the mix, your chances of winning drastic go down. See the Game 5, you got a 33 1/3 chance of winning, but Bobrovsky, Florida got a 66 and 2/3 chance of winning, because Leon Draisaitl KNOWS he can't beat him and he's not even gonna try!
So Edmonton, you take your 33 1/3 chance, minus my 25% chance and you got an 8 1/3 chance of winning Game 5. But then you take my 75% chance of winning, if we was to go one on one, and then add 66 2/3 per cents, I got 141 2/3 chance of winning Game 5. See Edmonton, the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you in Sunrise.

Game 6 is going to be wild. I know the Rockets arena here in Kelowna is going to host a watch party on Friday night and I expect *that* to be wild with all the Oilers fans in town.

The last two games have been amazing to watch.
I didn't want to get ahead of myself after one win..... but after two? I'm now in full on "we are witnessing the greatest comeback in the history of professional sports" mode :)
Friday should be electric in that building. I can't wait for Monday.
