    Collection Tracking Software?

Does anyone currently using or have used software to inventory your collection? If so, what did you use and how did you like it? I'm just beginning to collect cards again after a long hiatus and would like to start off right. I imagine that it must be a huge help having all of your information right at your fingertips. Anyone?

I keep a chart in Microsoft Excell. I can sort by set, year, sport, player, ect. Just a few columns like player name and set are all you need.

I personally like Beckett.com's "My Collection" tools. Have you ever tried using that?

Has anyone ever used any of the mwpsoftware apps, and if so did/do you use the web manager also? I have been poking around the pro-football 2007 'demo', it comes preloaded with a bunch of sets, but none for 2006..

I use, like mrbaseball pointed out, the beckett "my collections" tool to keep track of my Darryl Kile Collection.

Beckett is free to register with, and easy to use. Just go to www.beckett.com and click on Collecting Tools, and then click My Collections. It will walk you through on how to put cards into the list

Excel, I suppose, could also be good to keep track of what cards you own.
