Does anyone know if this applies to sports cards in hobby shops and/ or on eBay?

Doesn't look like it.
I just looked at the list again and did not see any such category. https://www.canada.ca/en/department-...canadians.html
It's basically to help with families who spend monthly on food, clothing, games + books for the family. As for food it's snacks, drinks, sugary crap and restaurants since there already is no tax on actual food at a grocery store.
I do not eat such crap often. However I did have some books in my Amazon cart and waited a few days to pull the trigger, when I finally did the check-out the price did not go up and now I know why. Shipping was free and the tax was waived. Glad I waited to pull the trigger :) Saved about $17 I can now spend on cards!
Edit: It says games for children under 14. So... MTG, Pokemon and YuGiOh are tax free? lolLast edited by Cunnuc; 12-15-2024 at 07:14 AM.

I don’t think you can eat hockey cards.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...
