i see i've created a heated debate over this topic, which i did not intend for. i was hoping to get opinions, which i did, but now its turned into an argument. i guess its how everything goes with any person...one person thinks their the best, and another person tries to find someone better.
i say this: duncan is the best pf in the nba right now, and he is more efficient than many centers out there, as well as a great team player. he has had to deal with shaq, and yes he sometimes gets dominated but all in all his team does better because he is not a one-purpose player. ben wallace is great at defense and rebounds, but is no go-to guy, so i think duncan still tops all of them until wallace becomes a scorer or some other great big man comes into the game and can do everything that he does.

magic actually played forward as well and lghoops i agree with you 100% but duncan is NOT the best centre or power forward of all time.And hes also probably the most boring players to watch in my mind he has no intensity compares to other players.I know that doesn't mean anything talent wise but i like entertaining players and thats part of what makes me decide if they're the best or not.Shaq is one of the best centres of all time.not in the league now but of all time and mdizz please stop arguing with me over this i know you only like the spurs but theres much more than just the spurs.

i agree with jeremy. and yes mdizz, magic played pf, and even center when kareem was hurt. duncan - not the best of all time, but the best right now. i agree that he is no fun to watch, but as you said, that doesnt mean talent. its mostly because he doesnt try to score EVERY TIME he gets the ball like shaq did. he is more of a team player, but he gets the buckets when they count. the reason the lakers were great even though shaq didnt like to pass was cause they got kobe too. with two players who average so many points in a game, if one has an off day the other would thrive. shaq always had that security, and still does with d-wade. sure duncan has ginobili and parker, but kobe and wade are much easier to rely on, because they are SO GOOD! (lol)
mdizz, i like how you are agrreeing with me, but can we try and make this a conversation rather than an argument? its easier to get the views from both sides that way.

UGH I KNOW MAGIC PLAYED PF BUT THAT WASNT HIS PRIMARY POSITION,I GUESS THIS MAKES KG A PG ALSO? HE STARTED PG ONCE.
and yo duncan is the best PF of all time. and so what if i like the spurs? duncan is clearly better then the other top 5 pf in my book(barkley,malone,mchale,pettit in that order) i mean he doesnt need a john stokton to dish,he has 3 rings,all of them where he was the best player on the team,which ism ore then what those 4 can say. and yeah shaq prolly rite now is better then duncan, but when its all said and done with duncan possibly having more rings. and i never said duncan was the best CE of all time yall need to read.
o and duncan is boring to watch.....SO WHAT!?!? if u appreciate true basketball u wouldnt think so,but kids these days are all about slams and 3's i dont complain i like them 2 but duncan is easily the best PF of all time. no doubt.
