It was hilarious how they tried to take coaches from other teams, and when that didn't work, they settled for Brown, who hasn't coached a team out of the first round since 2012.Last edited by WilyWestbrook0; 07-03-2025 at 09:34 AM.

Yeah they basically took 2 steps forward to take 2 steps back. At best I think this move will get them to the same place Thibs did which is stupid because if they had just waited awhile they would have found out the Pacers were going to tank next year too. With the Celtics and Pacers not trying next year running back the team with Thibs they'd really only need to overtake the Cavs (who aren't a threat to anybody in the playoffs) to be the top team in the East. But now they look like a joke because they couldn't find a coach and they wasted a golden opportunity that doesn't come along too often.

Veteran guard Bradley Beal has reached an agreement on a buyout with the Suns and will be placed on waivers, reports Shams Charania of ESPN (Twitter link).
Once he clears waivers and becomes a free agent, Beal intends to sign with the Clippers on a two-year, $11MM deal that will include a second-year player option, agent Mark Bartelstein tells Charania.

Good to see you back. I was getting worried for a bit.
As for Luka looking skinny I saw that but somebody I know said he does this every year where he slims down in the off season and gets fat by Thanksgiving. Hopefully he keeps the weight off this time because he could be an all time great if he does. If not he isn't going to have a long great career. Being lazy and out of shape works when you are younger but later on he will feel it and his game will suffer. Already the guy goes out there and puts up 10-15 points in the 1st quarter and then is winded by 3rd quarter. You think he is going to put up an all time great game and he just fizzles out. He could probably break all type of scoring records if he was in shape and had that Kobe/Jordan drive.

It's been a challenging time in life - can't really trade at the moment - but hanging in there.
Luka does seem to show a variety of weights in all his past pictures. I wonder if he will finally be motivated to stick to it after the trade and all the talk about how his weight was a factor. The only guy I can think of who was able to get by with not being in the best shape was Shaq, but he played in an era where size and raw strength could make up for a lot. Luka plays in an era and at a position where he really can't afford to keep fluctuating in his weight and conditioning, especially as he gets older.

Yeah people are trying to downplay this one but the Clippers are going to get penalized for this and they really don't own many draft picks that they haven't traded away the rights to yet. So it could be awhile before they can be a threat if they don't do something this season.

Oh wow. They looked like a title contender on paper. Now they have no one who can run their offense:
