What would you do if you found someone that had all those LOL. I agree they are pretty rare and it why I always thought it was funny that the Ud Young Gun gets all the love besides The Cup. As you said not sure how it would fall but as you said you could figure out the numbers with the insert ratio and the number of cards in the set for how many cases. Thanks for the response might have to look for some Blacks in Artifacts in the future.

It's funny. I guess if someone was sitting on all four of those singles - my first question would be "want to buy my Chorney Collection, and complete it?". If the answer was 'no' - I'd ask what they wanted.... just for the heck of it. Would those four cards be worth $200 to me? At this point, probably not. $100? Yes. I did search for his stuff on eBay yesterday, after making that post, and saw that a recent completed UD Black Letterman (i.e. C-H-O-R-E-N-Y, all 7 autographed letter cards) sold for a whooping $26 +shipping.

I have been expecting the bottom to fall out on YGs for about 10 years now. I will give UD credit though - they pump them very well, and have made them incredibly desirable. It really shows everyone that "collectability" is key, not necessarily rarity. I find it so bizarre that a YG, probably with 25k+ copies, can outsell a RC of the same player, #ed to 999.... but I also find the higher price for FWA /999 vs Ultimate RC Auto /299 to be odd.

I do wonder if now that UD is using the YG brand in other sets, if that's going to trigged collector fatigue with them.

I don't know about the rarity from all years but this was only a few years back when one of the forum members I was starting to make deal told me how very rare and precious 2010-11 Victory Black parallels are. He sounded like "none really knows but there could be as less as 10 made."

So I told him to F off and bought 5 copies of the same card for less than a dollar each on COMC. These people still exist.

Well just remember the bottom has fallen out of the young guns before. As I been to Nationals where you could pick them up for .25 cents even though they are worth 5 to 10 according to Beckett. I just pick them up for set collectors and sell them for more than a .25. As long as I can make a profit no matter what it is LOL. I totally agree with you on the fwa's and the ultimate rookie auto it is totally ming boggling. I could understand if the Young guns were like a 1000 or 5000 as the set is a staple but when you talking the insane number of copies out there it defy rarity but the desirability is just built into the set to defy all odds.

I like things like the deal above as it lets me pick things up and sell it to a collector say in Edmonton for like 35 dollars. Make a few bucks and offer to a collector that might enjoy it. I wonder if Oscars has one of your blacks LOL.

You can find a ton of the 10/11 on ebay now for 1.75 or so. I just look at comps and go from there but also what my customers or friends want if I find a deal. A preacher guy comes looking for unique Boston stuff so I try to pick stuff up from time to time if there is a deal to be had. So, looking at comps I doubt you can find any of the Marchand's for a dollar if you do great. I just know what I paid 16 with shipping and with what folks are asking or a comp below it insane. I seen some of the baser rookies sell for 5 to 12 bucks with the gold going for the top of the 12 to 15 range. So a black in my opinion is worth the price I paid and figure the Boston collector might like it for his personal collection.
