Even before tariffs the postage rate has been going up for the past 20 years. I remember there was a time when I could easily trade or buy with people from US. Then postage went up and can't send or receive bubble mailers from US anymore.
Last year I was buying from COMC and I probably paid too much for duties and tax because of the tariffs. Same with ebay, if I brought from US seller and they declare the value, I would have to pay another $20 or more. Sometimes the mail carrier would make me pay before they can give me the parcel!

Postage between Canada and USA is really an issue, it killed the mid-end trading. For low-end, PWE are still a good cross-border options. When you need a bubble-mailer, it cost around 25$Cad and there is a bunch of paper-work to do. I still sell from to time to time to USA, but it has to be a larger deal to make it worth the cost and trouble.

For me it was also shipping costs. Its not feasible to make deals unless the card(s) are worth a decent amount
