    Payton- 12 years 16726 yards, 106 tds 4.3 y/car 1 championship
    sanders- 9 years 15269, 99 tds, 5 y/car 0 championships
    Brown- 8 years 12312, 110 tds, 5.2 y/car. 4 championships

and in browns time they only played 12 games. For Sanders and Payton it was 16. A big Difference.

sanders only played 1 more season than brown....avg 5.0 yds/carry, 3000 more yards than brown, and 7 less tds....barry played on HORRIBLE teams and had to do much more considering what was around him, and he played in the passing era (id love to see the passing stats on the browns when jim played)

Acctually one of the greatest passing quarterbacks and recievers of all time played on his team. Otto Graham, Paul warfield, Marion Motley, Dante Lavelli. All hall of famers. Those Cleveland Browns are responsible for the passing game we have today.

During the AAFC's four-year existence, the Browns won the championship each year as Graham threw for 10,085 yards and 86 touchdowns and rushed for 11 more. Thats over 2,500 yards per year for 12 games in the 50's come on now.

says who, there were alot less teams, talent was not as dilluted like it is now. the all around league was much more talented. Little known fact Brown was also an All-American and Hall-Of-Fame Lacrosse player, lets see sanders and payton do that lol.

no, what i mean is the more teams the more players the overall talent goes down. The elite palyers are still the best I agree Lt is awesome. But with 32 teams and 54 palyers per team your getting alot less talented players now then with 12 teams with 30 players not exact just guessing like they had in Browns day.

plus sanders and brown were different players. Defensive players that played aginst Brown Said he was huge like An alstot of today with a Bush Speed. He would run over anyone and run away from them too. thats just awesome if you get a chance take a look at some tapes of him he was a freak.
