    Moss to Packers?

Saw earlier on ESPN that Randy Moss might be traded to the Packers if his contract can be restructured. What is everyone's thoughts?

I believe Moss has lost a step over the past few years. He isn't as dominant as he once was with the Vikings. But, I do think this would be a great addition to the Packers and provide a deep threat for Favre. Driver, Jennings, and Moss would be the WR corps.

There's been a million rumors he's going to the Jaguars too. I don't know what to believe anymore, the media just seems to pull stuff out of their a**.

I sure hope he comes hear to GB. Hes always been one of my fav players and I usually go to at least one Packer game a year and get players autos at the hotel. If Moss comes Im going to more than a couple. Hes still one of the best in the league. The Raiders have used him wrong, have had no QB or O-line and Moss just hasn't tried while on that team.

This is the reason I wouldn't want him on my team. He is a distraction.

If it comes down to the Jags and Packers in a bidding war, the Jags can have him. Why the heck to the Jags need Moss anyway? Matt Jones, Reggie Williams, Ernest Wilford...how many WRs to the Jags need to screw up?

The Pack will also get Koren Robinson back near the beginning of next season, so they'd have Moss, Driver, Jennings, Robinson, Robert Ferguson (who's coming back), Ruvell Martin, Carlyle Holiday, Chris Francies and Shaun Bodiford to fight it out, along with anyone they draft. Thats a crap load of WRs.

I personally don't want Moss. I don't know what you mean by "screw up" when it comes to the Jaguars receivers either. Jones and Williams are still developing, Wilford is a RFA. Reggie Williams was used wrong the first two years of his career. The Jaguars coaching wanted him to be an outside receiver/deep threat because he is 6'4". However, he is more of an over-the-middle, take-a-hit, YAC guy. They finally figured that out somewhat after last season. They started him out in the slot position and he had 4 TD's in the first few games. Then Matt Jones got hurt and they moved him back outside where he sucks. They decided to leave him there for the rest of the season for some odd reason.

Matt Jones is still making the transition from QB to WR but he is starting to look fine. He was injured for 4 games last year and he was still our leading receiver. His problem is route running. He has the speed, he has the hands, he's just having problems running routes. He also seems to be afraid of taking hits, which I can see with him being a former QB.

The receiving production also goes down with David Garrard in at QB, which he was for most of the season. The Jaguars are more run-oriented with him in, and all of our receivers have better stats with Leftwich in at QB. If Leftwich is healthy all season, we should have a better receiving year, assuming they use Williams right and Jones continues to grow. I'm not sure if Wilford will still be on the team.

The Jaguars just need a veteran (like Jimmy Smith was) who has been around the block a few times to even things out and be the #3 WR. Moss is definitely a veteran, but I don't like his huge salary and I have to be questioning his abilities at this point. A name that has been thrown around a few times is Dennis Northcutt. The Jaguars also have a mild interest in Kevin Curtis, but he may want #1 money.

I think Jones and Williams will have a fine year next season.

If its between the Jags and the Pack. IMO send him to Green Bay. I hit almost every Jags game and I'd rather not hear about Moss all year.

He's not going to the Jaguars. It was just a rumor started by some idiot. The Jaguars just signed Dennis Northcutt.
