    I doubt that the signing of Dennis Northcutt, a proven scrub, would curtail the team from acquiring Randy Moss if given the opportunity.

    Well the Raiders could trade Moss to the Jaguars for Leftwich then draft Joe Thomas for some protection. I imagine that would work out cheaper for them

    Apparently they were never interested in Moss in the first place. The team is also very confident the Northcutt is the speed receiver the Jags need and can provide a downfield threat. He is also a great punt returner. No one knows how good he really is because, lets face it, Jim Brown could have been in Cleveland for the years Northcutt has been and not produce. Even if Northcutt doesn't produce too well, he will add the element of speed and perhaps open up things for the other receivers.
