The problem I have with sniping is the excitement you get thinking you have the auction with three seconds left...you refresh, boom, you've lost, just like that.

so start sniping! jk
I do it sometimes, but I am usually too busy to be hanging around the computer when the stuff I want is ending, I have been really lucky lately with not getting sniped

By definition you have no complaint. Zero. Zilch. You're complaint is that someone else entered a higher max bid then you. If you were "refereshing" to bid again then obviously you never entered your max bid to begin with and that is your own fault. You could have entered your max bid 2 days, 2 hours or 2 minutes in advance. The point is that by definition you were trying to get it cheaper then another bidder would "snipe" if you have to keep clicking refresh with 30 seconds to go. Put in your MAX bid with 5 minutes to go and then go outside and play. Not your "pretend" max where you are going to refresh with 15 seconds left to bid again and then complain when you get sniped. That's the entire point of eBay.

which has absolutely zero to do with snipers. You feel the exact same way if some kid is sitting as his computer bidding with 5 seconds to go. You don't like losing cards you want, not people using snipers.

Its like a bad beat in Poker. Not a pretty way to lose but still a loss.
