First post newb here. :icon_eek:

I've got a quick question for you guys. I have a set of vintage football cards. The 1957 set is nearly complete, missing only card #121 and includes Unitas, Hornung, Starr, etc. The 1956 set is complete.

They honestly don't look like they've been played with much and the only issue I see with them is some slight yellowing around the edges from age (but you can't see it on the faces of the cards.

My question is: should I do more research and pick out the more valuable rookie/hof cards and have them graded or should I keep them all together and have all of them graded as a set?

There are no authorized PSA dealers in my state (OR) so I would have to get a membership and send them in directly.

Any help/advice/suggestions y'all might have would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you have original 1956 and 1957 cards? The borders are way too white to be from 1957. It almost sounds like you have the 1994 Topps archive reprint set which comprised the 1956 and 1957 set.

I can't say for sure because I am admittedly a novice in all of this. However, I actually took them to a card shop in town this weekend and the person behind the counter's eyes almost got this big :new_shock

OK, not really that big but he said the same thing y'all did. Wow.

The borders are yellow around the edges but it's very hard to see them, especially in the pics.
