Sadaam's Fate
An Iraqi appeals court upheld the verdict for Hussein's execution for ordering the deaths of 148 townspeople following an alleged assasination attempt after a visit to drum up support for the Iraq/Iran conflict. A human rights watchdog group out of NYC condemned the verdict on procedural grounds. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20061226...qsaddamtrialus
Atrocities against the innocent people of Iraq can pile up, but some want to debate the fate of that vicious leader just a bit longer. Iraqi law mandates that the sentence be carried ou within 30 days.:appl:

Let's see if they pull this off without mass violence.
Human Rights Groups are a joke! They file complaint after complaint against the US and for evil dictators and they do nothing while millions die in North Korea, Sudan, Tibet and many other places.

Hundreds are volunteering to be his executioner. They will televise the event so the population is sure that it takes place.

From what I understand, Saddam took power in a terrible way. The leader that Saddam took power from tried to escape in a Burka. They caught him. Since he dressed like a woman, the castrated him and place his man parts in his mouth and hung him from a post for a few days. That is what I heard! People in Iraq only believe someone is dead and a new person is in power when they see the old leader dead. That is probably why the U.S. showed Saddam's two sons on TV. The Iraqi people need to see the proof.

Not that I am for or against dictatorship, but the whole region has become very unstable since his removal.

it's actually been rather violent over there for thousands of years....lines on a map and pieces of paper stating there will be peace ain't gonna get it done...the logical solution would be to have rational leaders sit down, agree to a peace treaty and stick to it, but that could take another couple of thousand years before it happens so why not apply Darwinism with large supplies of military equipment and a large wall surrounding the entire region....last group left alive is the winner, in the meantime, the US gets off it's crackhead dependancy on foriegn oil, environmentally friendly energy solutions are developed and we're stronger for it....not to mention no more loss of life from our soldiers.
