I would like to get in on this discussion.
I would like to debate your post. You are referring the President is like a coach right? “Let the coaches run the football game and let the President and U.S. military run the wars!” I disagree with part of what you said. Football coaches are not like the President. Football coaches are on the same football field that the players, coaches see first hand what the players are doing. I don’t think the president is the most knowledgeable person about the war. The people who are on the ground fighting the war and living their have much more knowledge than the president. The president is getting 2nd hand information from the people that are actually their fighting the war. I don’t think the President is studying the enemy like he should be, he has other people in the government to do this for him. Doesn’t president have his staff write his speeches for him? If the President is so knowledgeable about these topics why would someone have to do the thinking and writing for him? I may be off a little when mentioning this but wasn’t G. W. excused from having to go to Vietnam right away? Doesn’t the G. W. have a proven history of Running his business into the ground. The president father was there every time to bail him out. You are 100% correct about the media brain washing Americans.
What is your opinion on the cold war? The Terrorist as we know today were our allie back in the 1980’s. We were helping Afghanistan defeat the Russian’s. We supplied Afghanistan with war supplies.
What is your opinion on Gun Running, selling war materials to other countries? This has been going on forever. A quick dollar for the government. The president has said that anyone that helps, supports, or harbors Terrorist will be punish, is this correct? If this is the case then why do we distribute war materials to them?

you must not have read what I wrote then. what are you talking about pointless, and doesn't make any sense? HI I thought I did pick a point to debate. He compared the Presidents to be like a coach. I disagreed with this. I said a coach in on the same soil the players are on monitoring the players at times on the field. The president isn't in Iraq to monitor what is going on. I also stated that the people on the ground in Iraq have a better understanding what is going on than the President who is in a different country. The president get 2nd hand information. I was trying to discuss this with Mike I don't know where you came from. I asked Mike what his opinions were on a few other subjects, to get hip thoughts on these subjects. I was trying to have a conversation like normal humans have. I don't deliberertly go out and start atacking people for responding to post, that would be Ignorant of Me! You said Mike is writting facts, and I was just writing 20 words. Now where are your facts that I am against Bush. If my 20 words made no sence then where would you get the idea that I am against Bush? Mike also stated that some people think they know everything, are you one of these people, that knows everything. Heck we all can't be as inteligent as you.

yup, chljoe is right wasnt pointed at you at all
but i appreciatte being yelled at...it was kinda funny to read...but its all good, for you to post a completly legit post and debate and if you thought someone blew it off as quick as the post directed to randall was to you, you should be a little mad...lol but no it wasnt for you at all
in fact I agree with a lot of what you say...i while i do support Bush and the legitamacy of this war, I also dont really like him either...I just think of the canidates we had at the time he was the best for the job.
i agree with you and Mike that America is shaped by the media...and shameless to say graduated from Temple Univ in broadcasting where i learned of media strategies and what not to get people who watch tv and "consume" easy ways to make them believe something that could entirely be false. At temple they have a class dedicated completly towards Media and its role in society and a lot of this people are talking about/argueing about is covered there. I dont follow politics near as well as I should, that being said the #1 rule when not following something and actually doing checkups yourself is to NOT form any opinion when you hear/read/consume something not of your own research and just hear the one side. Thats how a lot of the US citizens opinions are formed on 99% of world issues.
anyway, yea so it wasnt for you, lastly i will state...for those who oppose the war...are you those who would also if nothing was done complain when another 9-11 occured because the US did nothing? whether or not Iraq is to blame for 9-11, the War in Iraq and Afghanistan is a war that needs to be fought and needs to be completed, or the world will never live at peace completly and terrorism will live on.

JeffGordon,
I agree that the coach comparison is not a good comparison. As you say the Coach sees everything first hand and the President gets all his intelligence from who. We seen how he backtracked on the WMD's and such. So the comparison is not a good one.
I am sure Mike might come back and reply to your post LOL.
