Great story! When I was her age, I wouldn't have even thought about collecting cards. I wouldn't have known to put them in a binder or anything either. Cards are a great reward.. especially autographs/raceused for cutting grass
Glad you've found a new trading buddy!!

the only fear i have about getting my kids into collecting when they are old enough, and when my wife and I start having kids, is that she'll brainwash em into Ravens fans...that reminds me of how my dad got me into fishing. He used to work in construction, pourin concrete 12-14 hrs a day monday-thursday, just so he could get off work at noon on friday, go home and get my mom, load up the car with the fishing gear and packed snacks, then bust me, my brother and sister out of school a couple hours early...I plan on doin the same thing with my kids, get em fishin when they start walking, get em collecting cards when their young to help out with the math skills.

Great story! I started my nephew Danny out on baseball and football cards when he was younger, gave him a bunch of sets and cards and stuff. It really never caught on with him. He does collect Dale Sr. and Jr. diecast and stuff like that though. Not to much on cards. It`s pretty cool though sometimes he breaks down and buys `ol uncle Tom a box or some packs since he knows I can`t afford much anymore lol. Enjoy your time with her!
Tom.

I love the story and the best part about it is it's real. Glad you found a way to hang out with your daughter.
Trying to convert my son from Yu-Gi-Oh cards into a football card collector. No luck yet. He (12 years old) does take good care of them but unfournately he likes to show them off and sometimes he has them ripped off from a couple of his so called friends. I actually caught one trying to leave with a couple of his nicer cards one day. Had to call the kids parents, they didn't want to hear about it. They said it must be all some misunderstanding. Regardless, I asked my son not to have him over anymore. I didn't to forbid it because that would have made him want to play with kid even more. The joys of being a parent.
