Hey Chris, didn`t mean to scare you or anything lol. Back surgery nowdays is alot different than when I had my first. I`m pretty much done, nothing else can be done for my back. They have artificial discs they can implant in you now. I just read about those so I`m not sure you can get those in all areas of the country. When I read about them last year I think there was only 4 hospitals doing the surgery. I saw a webcast of the operation that took I think 45 minutes to do. That guy did great after surgery.

I hope that everything goes well for you!! My point was once they cut you it can be a very long and very painful road. You could have a great outcome though. Don`t rush into anything!! Good Luck!!!

Which time lol. The first I was laid up for 4 months and had to have another operation 6 months after the first!! That was a royal pain, literally. My last operation, the 7th, was a cleanup and stabilaziation surgery. I was only laid up like 5 weeks after that. But you could have pain alot longer than that.

I take alot of oxycontins now and wear morphine patches also. And then there`s the percocets also, and the muscle relaxers. On bad days I don`t know whether I`m coming or going. You should see one of my xrays, I`ve got more rods and screws and hardwear in my back than a junk yard.

I really hope that you have a great outcome if you decide to have surgery. As I said now days back surgery is alot different. They`ve had so many improvments in techniques and things. You should be up and about the same day as surgery now. And get back to normal in 4 to 6 weeks maybe. Depending on what they do to you.

yeah right now ive been on oxycodones, tyalanol 4s, hydrocodones, 800mg ibprofen and none of it even touches the pain so i dont bother taking any of it, Stuffs bad for your kidneys or soething i heard if ya take it too much so why bother if it aitn gonna help me.

I dunno what im gonna do depends on what the surgeon says, i will ask him what he would do in my situation,

ive been out of work for 2 years now because of this and the pain right now is at its worse, any relief would be great right now
