I think Miami got the best of this trade....Last Season Walker did squat well except jack up 3's all nite and miss....Ricky D will be great for the Heats depth which they need if Wade is going to sit out for a few weeks....

It's good for maimi team and for Pat Pat Riley to trade Antoine Walker to wolves. I think with this trade, maimi will win again the finals.

I fully agree with JammingJames on that....Shaq is past his prime, Wade isn't healthy, 'Zo isn't good anymore, same with most of their players....they are an old(er) team, with a few unproven young guys (except Wade).

I really think Boston will be the team from the East....I was going back-and-forth between Boston, Chicago and Detroit....but, Chicago is winless, and Detroit I don't think has the 'mojo' to compete with Boston.....Chicago can change, but I don't think they'll have it when push comes to shove.

Let's look at the real motive for the Wolves on this deal-

They get a future first round pick from the Heat as well.

They solve concerns about Blount and Jefferson co-existing after some reported friction in their Boston days together.

They get Walker's cap-friendlier contract. Blount and Antoine make about equal per year $..... Blount is just scheduled to get paid longer.

Doleac and Simien have contracts that expire at the end of the year. More cap-room to pursue FA since they don't owe KG all of their cap and Al Jeff isn't even maxed.

And really, do you want Ricky Davis to be your mentor? Antoine may have his baggage.... but Ricky has his own luggage company.

Thats exactly why the deal was struck...totally and strictly business for the wolves and depending on wording on contracts you may see someone cut because they aren't protected by their contracts for x amount of $$.

I believe samsonite wanted Ricky for a commercial but he refused unless they changed the name of the luggage to the ricky davis line!!!

They made a big mistake trading KG. They are going to be sorry. Like the Lakers they traded Shaq and Payton and know what are they doing? making a fool of themselves. I hated the Lakers anyway.
