I would say all of these guys except Reggie.
That is 20 players. Next I would add in Walker, Ben Wallace, LeBron, Elton Brand and Nowitzki. That is my top 25 anyways.Last edited by starbury03; 12-19-2003 at 11:46 PM.

I was gonna say Ben Wallace too, 8 Blocks in one game!!! amazing, hes definately going to get better through the years. Lebron too, Elton Brand isnt playing up to his potential but hes still decent, and Nowitzki, my favorite player of all time, was already on that first list, or i would have added him:) !!!!!!!

There's no way Lebron is in top 25...but it won't be long before he's a top 10. Just not this year. Carmelo's actually performed better than Lebron so far.
And given that Kobe is only 26, it's gonna be awhile before someone overtakes Kobe for the #1 spot

Antoine Walker is an above average player.
His style is to basically shoot 3-pointers, and he's FAILED miserably in the last 2 playoff seasons while with the Celtics.
He rarely concentrates on defense.
So, if he's hot, then naturally, he's one of the better players...but when he's cold -- he's basically worthless, if not a detriment to the team, since he isn't much of a defensive player.
He should have improved on his perimeter shooting (15-20 footers) and his post up play --- but he really hasn't.
Not sure if he's in top 25. Here's the top players that come to mind that I'd rather have over Antoine
Kobe
Shaq
Yao Ming
Steve Francis
Kevin Garnett
Allen Iverson
Paul Pierce
Jermaine O'Neal
Rasheed Wallace
Mike Bibby (he is absolute CLUTCH in playoffs)
Richard Hamilton
Tim Duncan
Dirk Nowitzki
Chris Webber
hmmmm, I know I am missing a couple more....perhaps Antoine is in the top 25
I agree with POD, when he is hot he is a great player but when he is struggling look out, he won't hit the side of a barn. Another problem with him is that he does all his scoring on the perimeter and will not go inside. If he ever decided to bang down low to get those dunks and short jumpers then his FG % would surely rise.
One more thing, he is one of the biggest chokers when it comes to the playoffs. Just look at the past 2 series with the Nets.

Odviously you people dont watch Antoine, he does go inside alot, hes an extremely athletic player, and will go inside and make some amazing shots.
Antoine did choke in the playoffs, just because pierce steps up in the playoffs doesnt mean walker is choking, and if he did he would fit in perfect with dallas, all of them choke in the playoffs, and no ones complaining about it with Dirk.
And not all great players where great with the Game on the line, if i needed someone to make a 3 with 1 second left, i wouldnt pick Antoine, but i also wouldnt want Mj, or Kobe, look at all the Lakers game winnings shots in clutch time, none are Kobe.

If you want to make n argument for a Bad player in that trade, its gotta be Raef LaFrentz, he couldnt even beat out Mark Blount for a job at Center.

Ron Artest deserves some of this action too.

Walker did choke. What was his FG% in the last 2 series with the Nets. It was in the 30's. That is choking. Walker takes most of his shots outside, that is the reason for the low FG%. If he went inside more he would improve his game. I will give him some credit though for being a good rebounder.
All I am saying is that he is not a top 25 player in my opinion and I would not want a forward like that on my team.
