    I don't understand what you're saying :(

So eBay and card shows are where singles are truly bought.. Card shows are pretty sparse in recent years, so it's a pretty fair assumption that ebay is where MOST singles change hands

The place with the MOST transactions would be the best indicator of market value, correct?

So what is BV then? Some arbitrary number that the folks at Beckett decide your card is worth?

There's no point to it existing, you might as well just estimate the value of cards yourself.

Beckett is a guide and NOT a Bible... Your cards are only worth what someone else is willing to pay and Not what Beckett says it is... I agree that Beckett is biased as well...

I know of at least 5 shops that use book value to price thiere singles. This may not be the best way or the correct way but they do it. They always say that you can make an offer on any card so the BV is just a rough guide. The problem that I run into is that shops will not sell me singles until they know the book value so that they have something to base thier sale value off of.

David Lee over at beckett is not the smartest guy I know, so alot of the time I hate to have to look at beckett for a value on a card but most of the time you are going to.
