BBonds25 Take a look at this. If it was in MINT condition he could have gotten 4 times that! It is already at $4,500+ with a lot of time left. Send him the auction if you dare!
I'm not sure if his heart could handle that.
Come to think of it, i'm not sure he could handle the beating his wife would give him if she saw that auction.

Well, I had just started collecting cards, when I saw a stand with baseball cards. I was looking through them and saw signatures on the baseball cards!!! For $1 each, it wasn't a bad deal, so I got $10 worth. When I got home, my friend tells me it's a freakin' base card. I was pissed, but my found out that one of them was a Jose Reyes Refractor Bowman Chrome RC card, so I guess I made profit on my stupid mistake.

I'll never forget selling my David Arias (otherwise know as David Ortiz) Ultra RC for $0.50 a while back.
Not mine, but how about the guy who bought a 2007 Topps Jeter base for $300?

well one is my friends he wanted me to help him sell his cards he had a mcnabb auto we didnt bother looking up the bv he wanted money he didnt really care how much but since it was an auto he wanted like 20 so someone offered me 20 and the bv turned out to be 150

I made a ton of that mistake... as soon as i heard about it i bought wal mart, meijer, and target out of boxes... i spent about 200 buck and made over 700 on the pulls i had.. the first couple went for 110-130 and the last ones sold for about 30.... it was a lot of fun while it lasted those couple days

I was young and my Mom let me have an account on some website called Bidville (eBay wannabe site). I got into a bidding war with some guy over a Kovalchuk autographed card, and ended up winning the war at the price of nearly $70. The card was worth $25.
Mom was furious with me. She payed for the card, but forced me to re-sell it. It went for $15

Back in '96 or so I visited a vendor booth at a card show at a local mall. I couldn't spend a whole lot since I was a poor young airman then so I asked the dealer/vendor if he'd trade me this really cool $40 card I really needed for my favorite player collection. After he looked thru my small box of my best cards, he said he'd trade but I had to give double in BV for it. He pulled out my best one...a 1995 Pinnacle Artist proof Griffey (BV $60-80 at the time). I hesitantly agreed to trade it away for a $30-$40 card of my favorite player.
What did I get in return...
1994 Score RT Call Up Arod ...graded now it books $800+
The Griffey now books $20
I bet that vendor would feel stupid

The stupidest thing I ever did was trade away 2 Jerry rice RCs for a couple early 1990 hockey sets. I don't even know why I did it. I wish I could go back now and undo that trade...
I sold the two hockey sets at a yard sale for like $15
Dumb mistake #2: Saved my allowance and lawn mowing money for way too long and paid $100 for a 1986 Donruss Jose Canseco RC when it was on fire back in late 80's. I think I gave it away

my story is alittle different. My OG's (mom's) BF stole my whole collection before they divorsed and i didnt know until they were in the process of getting restraining orders against eachother. I had mine stashed away. About 6 years ago, my collection consisted of a bunch of sammy sosa rc's and a bunch of will clark base cards and some mcgwires, griffeys,etc..(mostly base cards from the 80's-90's which arent worth much nowadays). Then while they were in the divorse process, i found out my collection was stolen.Next thing I know is they are seperated and his collection is still with his wife (The OG, Mom) and now i know he had my collection without asking.Mom says his collection is yours now since he took yours. Come to find out his collection sitting in front of me had a total bv of about $20,000.00 .Thats all gone now but was fun to deal when i had it!
as for a dumb mistake, lets just say its on him because to this day,he still doesnt remember he even had a collection.
