Today at the 103rd annual Chicago Auto Show, I got defensive end Israel Idonije of the Chicago Bears, 1 8x10 signed.

I also got Atlanta Thrashers prospect, currently playing for the Chicago Wolves of the AHL, Fredrik Pettersson, 2 8x10's signed.

Finally, captain of the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, Jonathan Toews, 1 card signed. He was supposed to be appearing with Patrick Kane, but Kane cancelled this morning due to illness.

Originally, the plan was for Toews and Kane to only sign a 5x7 provided by Chevy, but once Kane cancelled, they had to abandon, since it was a single 5x7 with both of them on it. So, Toews signed anything, one per.

They gave out 400 wristbands (originally planning 300 until Kane cancelled) starting at 10:30 am, and all wristbands got a sig, and only wristbands could get one. Wristbands were given out quickly. As for the wait, there really didn't need to be a long one, since I had a wristband, but I sat for 2 hours in-line, as I was a bit auto-show tired out! He finshed 20 minutes early, and then left, since all wristbands had been gone through.

I heard Frank Thomas only signed something with a specific logo on it, was that accurate? That would have ticked me off....

ya for frank he did not sign till 2. so a decent line was there from 10 till 2 to find that he would only sign the state farm pics provided, at 2. no news about that was given prior. people had bats, jerseys and WS stuff to only get shot down. I wanted a SS ball but ended up asking him to sign my 09 ginter for the set that i will never finish hahhahah. but i just asked him nicely if he would sign my card and he did it with no hesitation. the security guard was REAL ™™™™™™. he gave me the worst look. whatever, worth it. id love to talk to you sometime about chicago ip graphing. was toews cool?

Yesterday I got assistant captain and All-Star Game MVP Patrick Sharp of the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, 1 card signed for free, at an appearance in Willowbrook, IL. There were about 600 people there, in my estimation (they ran through the 300 wristbands 2 hours before the event started).
