Today I got current Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman, 1 card and 2 8x10's signed for free, at an appearance in Libertyville, IL.

The cool thing about this was across the parking lot at the food store, there was an appearance by two Chicago Bears wide receivers at a Chicago Bears Coat Drive. Please see my next post for info!

Today I got two current Chicago Bears wide receivers, Earl Bennett, 3 cards signed, and Johnny Knox, 2 cards and 1 8x10 signed for free, at a Chicago Bears Coat Drive appearance in Libertyville, IL.

Yesterday I got injured rookie Detroit Lions and former University of Illinois star running back Mikel LeShoure, 9 cards signed, at an appearance in Mundelein, IL.

3 days in a row: Today I got former Chicago Bears tight end Desmond Clark, 2 cards signed for free, at a web podcast show in Vernon Hills, IL.

Also at the show was former Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints defensive end Alex Brown, and I got 1 card signed and 2 8x10's signed for free.

As an aside, Alex Brown is the nicest professional athlete I have ever met. I did an autograph signing with him a few years ago, and he was incredibly friendly then, and he hasn't changed. A smile and handshake for everyone, chatted away, showed off his NFC Champions ring, talked about his time with the Saints (they had nicer rings as he joined them the year after they won the Super Bowl); just a great guy!

Today I got former Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jays legend, The Big Hurt, Frank Thomas, one authentic MLB baseball signed, and 4 cans of Big Hurt Beer, for the cost of the cans of beer ($2 each), at an appearance promoting his beer in Arlington Heights, IL. He wasn't supposed to sign anything but the cans, but decided right before it started that he would sign one item of memorabilia for each fan who bought beer.
