i think he can come back as a running back but he will have to bulk up and work out a lot in jail...it can be done...and i think that way vick could comeback very succesful...i dont think he can comeback successfully as a QB bc 2 years out of the nfl not learning defensive schemes and how things develop it will be very hard...

2 things; first, as far as losing his skills, he has no QB skills, he is a running back.
    second; I DON'T REALLY CARE.
make it 3 things, he will probably come out of jail with hemerroids, being cute. ha ha

bearfield- lol....love it when people have no idea what there talking about....no QB skills? Actually watch him play before you make a fool of urself....I bought NFL Sunday Ticket just so I could watch Vick and my Falcons....Vick is a great QB....when you have bad coaches(Mora/Knapp), terrible blocking and WRs who drop every other pass right in their hands its pretty hard to have good stats....last season he was top 10 in TDs, top 5 in fewest INTS and also had 1000 rushing yards....hes lead the Falcons to the playoffs times before with little talent around him and once to the NFC Championship game

just to chime in your both wrong...haha

bearfield he does have QB skills...maybe not in the pocket QB skills but as a scrambler/roll out QB he has skills...he can throw the ball a mile...he is very Randall Cunninghamish...but he does have skills to say he doesnt have any is just as bad as what vickfan is saying that he is a great QB though...he is a very middle of the pack quality QB that maybe is in the top 10-12 bc of his agility. Vick is not a great QB, but I would lean towards being a quality QB then one with no skills at all...So if we find a happy medium between both you then we are where Mike Vick is.

ok, i can see where you both are coming from, how about where i am coming from.
he doesn't have the smarts it takes to be a quarterback.

smarts/skills include studying for a game and listening to coach.

smart quarterbacks don't run with the ball, the coaches tell them not to. was he drafted as a QB or RB?

here is a list of quarterbacks that didn't run for 1000 yards--- montana, young, staubach, aikman, bradshaw, marino, unitas, starr, and favre, manning, and brady haven't yet, and it doesn't look like they will.

smart quarterbacks spend time studying for a game, and realise its a team sport, "NOT A ME SPORT". check the above list for who studied game films.

DO YOU REMEMBER JIM HARBAUGH??? they used to say he had a million dollar arm and a 10 cent brain. throwing a mile doesn't mean you are good, just that you can throw the ball. ryan leaf and tim couch come to mind.

it takes brains, and commitment to play the quarterback position, he has neither, as he has proven, more than once.

vicksfan7; i'm sure vick would appreciate you blaming the coaches, receivers, and the offensive line for not winning the superbowl, lets blame his mother too, but there comes a time to admit that he is not a quality QB, and he has to accept the blame for his deficiencies.

besides, you are a vick fan and can't watch a game objectively, its always someone elses fault, not the great vicks, as you stated.

answer this question first? if he had spent as much time and effort studying and getting ready for each game as he did with his kennels and dogfighting, could he have done better as a QB?
i would say that this shows where his head was at.

i really feel bad, i left elway, moon, griese, namath, doug williams, tarkington, cunningham, and stabler, and many more off the above list. sorry guys. of course, i don't think any of them wanted to RUN for 1000 yards.

hagansp; correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't studing for games and commitment to team also skills, i mean, really necessary skills to be a QB in the NFL?

could this happen? ------- vick comes to huddle and says, "i don't like the play the coach called, everybody block, i'm running the ball, its about ME"
