Can Any Gamers Out There Help Me?

I'm looking to buy a 360, and am having a struggle coming up with the cash... so I have a few questions. How risky is it to buy one from a pawn shop? A particular pawn shop I went to today had 3 systems w/ hard drive, one wireless controller, and all the other basics you get at Best Buy for $349.99. They also had one Xbox Arcade version, w/o the hard drive for $179.99. There is also a hard drive for $50 at the pawn shop. What do you think is my best option?

I could buy the complete package used with hard drive at the pawn shop for $259.

I could buy a used arcade version + used hard drive for about $230.

I could buy a new arcade + used hard drive for around $330.

I'm not sure about the pawn shop's return policy, so I will definitely look into that before I buy anything.

I have another question about Xbox repair. If I did happen to get stuck with a used xbox and it doesn't work, will Microsoft repair it for free if I don't have a receipt from the original purchase?

If I were you, I would save up and buy a new one. With the recent complaints of malfunctions in a lot of 360's, a new one ensures that you have a 3 year warranty. I don't know if this works with used consoles though.

Ask the pawn shop guy if you get a small return policy on stuff and you can explain your situation there. If he says no returns, then I would just buy new.

also just remembered because i called back today when you call there is an operator talking if you actually want to talk to a live operator not a message then when the operator gives you the options of what you want to do just say OPERATOR and then it will be a very easy and quick call hope this also helps

Do not buy any consoles from pawn shops! Especially the Xbox 360. I suggest purchasing a brand new Premium System for $350.
