Browns are trying to fit a couple players for a decent playoff run. Hope they know what they're doing, they don't have a draft pick until the 4th round.
Actually as a Bengals fan, I hope they don't know what they're doing
Would have been nice to have Rogers in the Bengals d-line

SAN FRAN SNAGS SMITH
One of the top defensive linemen in the free-agency pool is off the market.
Michael Smith of ESPN.com reports that end Justin Smith, formerly of the Bengals, will now play for the 49ers. He'll receive a six-year, $45 million contract with $20 million in guaranteed money.
The Vikings had hoped to woo the fourth overall pick in the 2001 draft, but he never got out of San Fran.
Smith is regarded primarily as a run-stopper; he had only two sacks in 2007. But he is durable and it's hard to assess his ability given that he Bengals defense hasn't been very good over the past couple of years.

Bryant Johnson meeting with Bills today
BILLS HOSTING JOHNSON
As free agency gets into its second day, the Bills will soon be sniffing around a second receiver to pair with go-to guy Lee Evans.
According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, receiver Bryant Johnson is on his way to Buffalo for a visit.
Johnson was the front end of first-round back-to-back draft picks by the Cardinals in 2003. He has been overshadowed by Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald.
The guy taken right after Johnson by the Cards, defensive end/linebacker Calvin Pace, is expected to sign with another team soon.

Yeah, being a Bucs fan, I would really not like to see Griese come to Tampa. I think Jeff Garcia still has a few quality years in him and we have a reliable backup in Luke McCown who filled in great for Garcia the few games he was out this past year. I am glad they picked up Jeff Faine to go along with the other young linemen they already have. I would really like to see them pick up a linebacker or cornerback as Derrick Brooks and Ronde Barber are starting to get up in age. I would really like to see them sign Lance Briggs. Does anyone know of any rumors going on with Briggs?

FLORENCE PICKS THE JAGS
The Jaguars have continued their aggressive approach to free agency by agreeing to terms with cornerback Drayton Florence, according to FOXSports.com.
Florence was a second-round pick of the Chargers in 2003. The emergence of Antonio Cromartie made Florence expendable there. (Besides, tough-guy G.M. A.J. Smith likely couldn't get comfortable with having a player named "Florence" on the roster.)
Florence reportedly received $12 million in bonus money from the Jaguars.
On Friday, the Jags signed receiver Jerry Porter to a $30 million deal, with $10 million in guaranteed money.

FALCONS SNARE COLEMAN
The post-Vick Atlanta Falcons have made their first free-agent acquisition.
According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, Jets safety Erik Coleman has agreed to terms with the Falcons.
It's a four-year, $10 million deal, with a signing bonus of $3 million.
Coleman was a fifth-round pick of the Jets in 2004. He started in every game of his first two seasons, but started only four times in 2007.

CAROLINA ADDS COLCLOUGH by Michael David Smith
The Carolina Panthers have signed free-agent cornerback Ricardo Colclough to a two-year contract, multiple media outlets are reporting.
Colclough was a second-round pick of the Steelers in 2004, and while he at times showed promise on special teams, he never contributed much on defense. He was waived during the 2007 season and caught on with the Browns, but he was inactive for every game.
The signing is something of a homecoming for Colclough, who grew up in South Carolina. The contract the Panthers signed with Colclough is a two-year, $4 million deal.
