Talking Who was your first player collection?

Thought this would be a good topic for all of us to think about.

My first player collection was Michael Clayton. The year was 2004 I had been collection on and off all my life and decided to jump in again. I have always been a Buccs fan, and that year i pulled a Michael Clayton gold rc from ud pro sigs. I thought it was a cool looking card and it was a guy from my favorite team. so then i kept buying packs and i got a few more michael nice claytons. So i then bought some singles and within a year i think i had over 300 dollars in clayton cards. this was a feat for me at only 14 with a ten dollar allowance.

So what was your first player collection?

Mine was (and still is) Frank Thomas. I started in 92 by getting his 90 Topps rookie and built the set of 92 Pinnacle, where I pulled a dozen or so Thomas cards. Was hooked from there.

Some other player collections have come and gone like Chipper and Maddux, but the Big Hurt has always been on the top of my wantlist.

Mine was Eric Davis back in the late 80's. He was always my favorite player, had over 100 of his cards...which was a feat as a young kid w/limited funds and no trading website like this to use!

my first player-collection was ricky williams.

i stopped collecting him after his "drug-thing"

always thought about selling my collection, but thank god i didn`t do it! :)

now i`m back with his collection , it´s nice because everybody want to get rid of their ricky williams cards and i can get them really cheap.

My first card collection was of Joe Montana. I was a HUGE 49ers fan back in the 80's on through the 90's...had a few Young cards as well. Unfortunately, I have no idea what happened to those cards...didn't have many, only a few.

Montana was mine also- then dabbled with some baseball guys when i got back into collecting (Edmonds, Rick Ankiel, and Ripken)

all those collections are long gone- replaced by DQwell Jackson, Jim Sorgi, and my just started Brett Favre project
